It had been ten earth years since Calvis returned to his father's scaffold, and significant changes had overcome the scaffold once owned by his father. His father was a man that ruled over 20,000 Parthian peasants and over 5,000 vassals. Calvis's scaffold held one of the largest populations of Parthians concentrated in this quadrant of the galaxy.
Calvis's magnificent form sat on a throne he had carved out himself after tossing out his father's old one. When Calvis returned to his father's scaffold ten years before, he had been infuriated at the lie his father had told him.
Calvis had killed his uncle, believing that he was the one that wronged the Ibex family. Little did Calvis know his father had been performing experiments on his own people forcing his uncle to act out.
Calvis had always known that his father was devoted to the development of the Ibex family, but he never knew that his devotion would lead to such insidious actions. He found out from searching his Uncles memories that after his sudden rise in bloodline purity that his father had gone mad with the thought that he could raise the bloodline purity of his family and grant them royal blood.
Calvis saw through his uncle's eyes that the crimes his father had committed, which shattered his image of a noble and kind father. His father had begun to experiment on his own people.
Calvis turned to his Xuhan servant. "Did you hear anything from Talsia yet. Did she manage to track down our hidden enemies? I can't have any hidden threats to my new galactic empire lurking in the shadows."
Jake sighed; his master seemed to be more paranoid than ever since they had returned to his father's scaffold. Jake knew that his father's betrayal had taken a toll on him. Jake knew that rooting out one's enemies was a valid concern, but did Calvis not understand that those hidden threats were much weaker than him.
Jake was not exaggerating when he thought there was very little in this universe that could stand against his master's wrath. Perhaps the only ones that could still bear some semblance of a threat to him are other royals or perhaps other of different elder races. "Master, Talisa has contacted but still has found only traces of their presence. From what we can see, the majority of that Galaxies Emorit race has gone underground."
"Tell Captain Henderson of the Garde to help reinforce my Galaxy." Calvis was already calling it his galaxy even though he had yet to complete his scaffold of it. Still, in truth, it mattered very little since Calvis had decided he wanted to possess a galaxy; it's likely not long before he will.
"at once master." Jake left his master to his devices as he left the throne room.
Calvis had thought a lot about what had happened ten years ago. He had killed his uncle because what he had done was irreconcilable. The world of Parthians was a hard one often, it was unfair even evil, but there was one thing that was never allowed for a Parthian, especially nobility weakness. Weakness was an unforgivable crime often punished by death.
If Calvis had let his uncle go after he had caused a revolt, it could very well have been the end of the Ibex Nobel family. Calvis had always known he could be ruthless, but he loved his family. While he had killed his uncle, he refused to kill his father and lose what little family he had left. When he returned from battle he was angry at his father. He quickly used his bloodline as an excuse to overthrow him. His father right now was still in Calvis's dungeons with his powers suppressed.
Calvis planned on keeping him that way for a very long time or until he no longer felt betrayed by his father. While the garde did not like this development they could do nothing against it they were loyal to the Ibex family head regardless of who took that seat.
Calvis got up from his throne and teleported into his personal space, where his Alphas greeted him with the utmost respect. Calvis walked into the center of the encampment, where he found his first Alpha, who had been rescued from Xuhan hand all those years ago. Alpha quickly greeted his creator before reporting his men's progress in subjugating worlds in Calvis's soon to be Galactic empire.
"Creator, we have conquered over 1000 planets with intelligent life, and the number of Alpha's in under your command has risen from 100,000 to a billion through self-replication. As for the project that you have tasked us with building, it is still far from complete, but it's coming along nicely."
Calvis nodded as if he completely expected his Alpha to be at least this successful, but in truth, he was impressed. Calvis thought that Alpha's progress was downright scary. When he had tinkered with the Alphas genetics a little more, he had created a self-replicating function for the alphas after they had consumed enough biomass. Still, he never thought that the growth rate would be so volatile. " continue the good work."
The first Alpha nodded, not noticing Calvis's mental distress. "For my creator, I will work even harder for success."
Calvis wanted there still to be intelligent races to rule, but shrugging he thought it would be fine afterall, not all the biomass they consumed would be intellegent life. "make sure to keep a lookout for the emorite race hidden in shadow."
Alpha nodded.
