Chapter 14: Massacre (2)
The leader involuntarily fell asleep because of the accumulated fatigue and exhaustion he had experienced since the last few days.
*Snore* The sound of his snoring echoed across his room, as the sun had already risen from the east.
It was then an uninvited sound appeared within his peaceful room.
*Bang!* It was loud enough to completely disrupt the calm atmosphere within the leader's room, as the door opened swiftly.
The leader suddenly freaked out, as his body involuntarily jumped away from his bed, and fell towards the ground.
It fully woke him up, as he angrily stared at the man who banged his door without any restraint.
"What the f*ck are you doing?" The leader glared at his subordinate, as he begrudgingly stood up from the floor.
"SIR!" The man unconsciously made his voice louder, as it pissed his leader further.
"What the f*ck are you shouting about? It's goddamn daytime!" The leader scolded the man further. However, the man still didn't dispersed, as he continued to look at his leader with beads of sweat within his forehead.
The leader, of course, noticed his subordinate's weird behavior, as he asked in a grave tone, "What happened?"
"Leader, someone just barged in our camp without any restraint! He also killed hundreds of our members in a blink of an eye. My comrades did their best to… stop that young man, just for me to convey this message to you." The man quickly dropped down to the ground, as tears fell from his eyes.
"Please… avenge our brothers!" He stammeringly said, as he cried on the ground.
The leader then grabbed his shoulders, in the purpose of calming his subordinate. The latter then regained a bit of his calmness, as he stared at his leader.
"What happened to the two vice-leaders?" The leader gravely asked, as he looked straight into the man's eyes.
"..." The man averted his gaze, as he said with stuttering voice, "Both… dead."
"!!" The leader felt his anger reaching its peak, as veins bulge out of his forehead. However, that only happened momentarily, as he calmed down once again.
"Why did I not sensed any single disturbance?" The leader mumbled, as the subordinate before him cried further due to his sadness and anger.
"What is happening?" The leader involuntarily said louder, as he felt confused about the happenings within his camp.
"Why don't I explain it to you?" A youthful yet cold voice resounded across the room.
"!!" Both the leader and the subordinate felt their hairs standing, as they saw a figure standing a few meters away from them.
"You…" The leader's face darkened, as he recognized the young man's appearance.
"That's right. I'm the one who killed one of your vice-leaders…" The young man said indifferently, as he slowly approached the duo within the room.
However, Zhen Long halted his steps, as he sensed a peculiar energy coming from the leader of the Red Bandit Gang.
He gazed at the latter's body, as he noticed a necklace hanging within the man's neck. It was shining brilliantly like the moon, as it emitted a peculiar energy.
"And now, I also killed all of your members. Aside from both of you, this whole camp is already… filled with corpses." He said coldly, as he gazed at the leader and his subordinate.
"You… will pay!" The leader roared, as he fully unleashed his dormant strength hiding within his body.
"Finally, someone that can maybe help me clearly determine my full strength…" Zhen Long mumbled to himself, as he cracked out a cold smile.
