The character development is great! The sorrow that Akai feels when he has to make the choice to kill one of his kind is heartfelt. The suspense builds in each section and each chapter as the reader gets wrapped in this world of dragons and men. I love how the dimensions of the characters evolve with the story. I can't wait to keep reading!
