Chapter 9: Third Person P.O.V

The music that was playing as they entered was Bethoven's 5th symphony. It was played by a live orchestra and was flawless. Never before had Sasha imagined that she'd be in such a grand place. The people were dressed to the nines and drinking champagne. She was really regretting her choice of clothing. Fine jewelry adorned the necks, ears and wrists of the women making the simple silver locket she wore look like costume jewelry and she never wore her wedding band for fear of losing it. Laughter boomed over the music as a man that looked just like Chance sauntered up.

"Brother, did you not let your wife know this was a formal affair?" his deep voice full of mischief. "or is she a rebel and doesn't stand on formality? I think she's lovely all the same." as he finishes his sentence he takes her right hand into his and places a kiss on her knuckles.

"I, my fair lady, am Lance, Chance's older, better looking brother. You, I know, are Sasha Renshaw, his lovely bride. Let me be the first to formally welcome you to the family."

Sasha smiled up at Lance. "Thank you, and here I thought it would take some convincing." Her voice shook a bit but she was truly releaved. If he welcomed her then maybe it was possible that everyone else would.
