Chapter 5: The letter
Months passed in the blink of an eye and it was already late July
[31/07/1991]
I went to Rosmerta after a day of exploring the woods.
Rainy- so... Rosmerta, do you think i should try to go to hogwarts?
Rosmerta- and you are asking that because...?
Rainy- i want to learn that magic to! And besides it isn't something i've just begun to think... i wanted to ask before but, i just forgot, hehe.
Rosmerta- well, that's just like you. Anyway it is really convenient that you brought that theme 'cause i've got this for you
Rosmerta then gave me a closed letter.
Rosmerta- i've asked some favors and talked about your situation with the headmaster of hogwarts, and it seems that that's his answer
I opened the letter and saw:

Supreme Mugwump, International Confed. of Wizards)
Dear Ms. Lionheart,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.
Term begins on 1 September. We await your owl by no later than 31 July.

And just after that a second page with the items i needed to assist:

UNIFORM
First-year students will require:
1. Three sets of plain work robes (black)
2. One plain pointed hat (black) for day wear
3. One pair of protective gloves (dragon hide or similar)
4. One winter cloak (black, with silver fastenings)
Please note that all pupil's clothes should carry name tags.

I stared at the letter for a minute or so, and then i thanked Rosmerta.
Rainy- Wow thanks Rosmerta!! but we need to reply now, it's already 31 of july!
Rosmerta- don't worry about that dear, i already knew you would accept so that's dealt with
Rainy- Thank you!! i need to go to Diagon Alley then... wait this means i can already buy my wand right??
Rosmerta- yes dear, you can.
Rainy- Wohoo!! ok, i'm borrowing some floo powder. Ok?
Rosmerta- ok just don't overdo it. It won't do any good if you appear on a private house.
Rainy- that just happened once! Or twice... anyway I'm taking my savings, see you later.
And with that i went to my room i took all the galleons i had (Author talking: i'm not going to introduce random number of money for her so just let's say she has enough for what she's going to buy) and went straight to the floo powder.
And there i was. Diagon Alley. First things first, i went to Ollivanders, so that i could buy more books on whatever my wand was good at. It was easy enough find the shop as it was shady and looked a little out of place, or so i thought. On the inside the shady feeling just got worse and there wasn't anyone. So, when i was going to call ''anybody here?'' someone appeared behind me saying ''need something?''
It startled me enough for the command screen to appear and stop the time, so i just ignored that, closed the command screen resuming the time.
???- so i'm guessing howarts, isn't it?
I just nodded in response
???- i'm ollivanders, what is your name?
Rainy- Rainy Lionheart, Mr. Ollivanders.
Ollivanders- i don't think i've met your parents miss Lionheart, muggle-born?
Rainy- don't know, i'm an orphan.
Ollivanders- hmmm, what a shame. Anyway, what is your wand hand?
Rainy- i can use both, sir
Ollivanders then nodded and a measure tape begun to measure my body while he was checking which wand should he try first. Rosmerta assured me that the wand chooses the wizard and that it was common to try a lot of wands before finding the perfect. More so if Ollivanders don't know my parents.
I tried a lot. And i mean a lot of wand. A good point is that i'm not squib on reference of their magic because i did some damage with some of the wands, but any of them seemed the perfect, Ollivanders then begun to stare at me and i thought he was going to leave a hole on my face with all the staring, but then he rushed to one of the wands he had on the top row and gave it to me. And it felt amazing. That was more than what i expected. I felt like going right now to the forest to kill some bears or something, but Ollivanders interrupted my digression by talking.
Ollivanders- interesting wand you have there. One of the last ones i have from Shikoba Wolfe. Blackthorn, Thunderbird tail feather, fourteen inches, very flexible. Wolfe is the only one i know that works with Thunderbird tail feather, good for transfiguration. This wand is a very warrior-like wand miss Lionheart, we can expect a powerful auror from you. It will be 7 galleons.
Rainy- hehe not just powerful, i know what i want. I'll be the most powerful witch in the history, i'll aim to the top. And here you have the galleons.
Ollivanders- hmmm interesting. As long as you don't become the next dark lord, that dream is a good one. Not that original, but good nonetheless.
Rainy- you don't have to worry about that, i'm a good person, i can't let down those who have helped me! By the way, Mr. Ollivanders, do you know if i can personalize this wand? You see, i'm a swordswoman and i would like to have this wand attached to a rapier.
I've been thinking about this for some time now, as one of my only possessions was that magazine paper with a swordgun or something like that. On the orphanage i often thought of having it build when i was adult, but, it's practically impossible for me to have the strength to wield that much metal. So, after hearing about the wizarding world i thought of making myself a rapier-wand that will help me with both my magic casting and awesome limit breaks.
Ollivanders- you shouldn't do that before you end hogwarts, as you can't bring real weapons, except the wands, or at least i think you can't. in any case for your first year you shouldn't be in need of that weapon, and if you need constant practice with your sword you can always transfigure some wood with that wand. But let me tell you that it might be better to use them separately as the wand will lose power if the spells have to go through a rapier.
Rainy-(now that he says it, i really should practice with a rapier, i can't just trust on the Limit Break to make awesome cuts) good to hear, i might just double wield a rapier and a wand. Thanks sir. Good bye.
