Everything was dark, he wasn't able to see anything. Suddenly a loud POW interrupted the silence.
"You two are next."
He got grabbed. Another POW and a loud scresm next to him. He started shaking, sweat was flowing down on his forehead.
"NOOOOOO!!!!"
The boy jumped up in his bed.
*~That nightmare again...~*
When he looked out of the window the sun was already shining bright in the sky. His stomach hurt.
*~Guess I'm hungry.~*
He stood up and went into the kitchen, still with sweat on his forehead.
"Kenji? Are you alright? You look pale."
The blonde girl looked worried.
"Don't worry Hikari, I'm alright."
"That dream again?"
Kenjis friend looked like he already knew the answer.
"Hey Jason! Don't talk about things like that so reckless."
Jason didn't seem to care.
"Well, Jessica, we cannot all care just about japanese food, like you. We all have these nightmares. We all have worries. And we all have a reason to be here...a promise to keep...a mission to fullfill."
Kenji smiled a bit.
"How ironic we don't even know why we made these promises. Yet we are willing to risk our second chance of living to keep them...They are so very dear to us...and we don't know anything about it."
"Enough worries for now!"
Jessica interrupted.
"Tomorrow is the New Years parade, we need to see it!! I am so excited!! How is it gonna be? How is the FOOD gonna be?"
The cliques mood started to get better.
Hikari was amused.
"You make it seem like the food in America tastes absolutely disgusting."
"No no! But you know Japanese food is so much better! They are so creative, they combine so many things, YOUR FOOD IS LIKE HEAVEN!!!"
Everyone started to laugh. Jason looked at Jessica.
"Well, well then let's make sure to taste all the tasty food on tomorrows parade, you food obsessed."
"Alright, now it's time for me to have lunch, too!"
Kenji sat down at the table with the others and they talked about the New Years Parade. But that parade shall harbor a big suprise...
-I swear I will protect this world. This world you held dear...this world that is so fragile...I shall protect it as you wished to do...I promise-
To be continued...
