Corruption and Regrets
Long before the war between the Abyss and the Empire, the Land of Dawn is blessed with two angels that serves balance in the realm.
The population of men is becomming low and elves are nearly endangered because of the mysterious plague that spreads throught the land. When the angel of light came down to their land, she healed almost everyone and eradicate the disease that is killing a lot of people. Rafaela is then welcomed by the people and lived for many years with them until the population of men is growing very fast. The resources became scarced and conflicts are made because of it. Rafaela cannot do anything to stop people from hurting each other. She can only heal them physically and also if they are open to it, their souls.
Because of the increasing number of cases of murder, ****, and thievery the angel of darkness descend to the Land of Dawn to punished the people who commit such crimes. Argus is really happy to see Rafaela again that he even made the Temple of Light to remind the people that there is more to life than what they usually think. The Temple of Light became the beacon of hope for the prosperity and the balance in the Land of Dawn.
As time flies, more and more people are becomming evil and Argus couldn't keep up with the power that they have, so he searched the land for a source of power and fights enemies with his strength and might. Rafaela on the other hand, saw this as the right thing to do since the problems arising from the realm are cannot be solved by just punishing evil and helping the weak.
Argus relies on Rafaela on wether his actions are appropriate and not. She became his moral compass. Rafaela on the other side relies on Argus on protecting her from harm and making sure that she can see the two sides of things rather than just looking in the good. Together, they are stronger and they know it too well.
As time flies, Argus is still searching for more power and Rafaela is still helping people in relieving thei pain and suffering.
Argus knows that his search for power is too much for him to handle but for some reason, he cannot stop himself. He loves the rush of swinging a sword in the battlefield. He loves the way he punished evil doers. And he loves the strength that he feel whenever he fights.
Rafaela failed to see that Argus is becomming more and more corrupted. She always have this idea that Argus know what is right and that he can handle himself. She trust him too much that even her cannot see that there is something that influences him to go deep in the darkness.
In his search for power, he stumbled upon a sword that emanates a strong aura of power. This is exactly what he is looking for. The sword that will change everything.
As he touch the sword, all the darkness in him grew and the light inside him is now all gone. And with Demise, he became a servant io the abyss and never returned to Rafaela again.
After months of his diappearance, Rafaela is getting more and more concerned on the condition and whereabouts of Argus. She searched the land of dawn and when she did find him, all she can see is how broken Argus is and how much he changed.
Rafaela tried to stop him but she failed. Argus on the other hand, cannot even bear to think of killing her.
Argus continued on spreading the influence of the abyss and he helped on corrupting the mind and souls of mages and marksmen across the land of dawn who will play a great deal on the lord of abyss's plans.
