The noise deafened all as fire scorched the hope and the dark clouds embraced the skies, blood rains down from the skies as if to water the land. Tears and screams resounded as the terror and sorrow eats up the people. Yet Argus continued to fight, for only when the enemy has been defeated can the sorrow stop.
He stood on top of the mountain of his enemies corpses, drenched in the bloods of the sinners. "I am strong. Stronger than anyone else. No one can stop nor hurt me." He muttered as he stared at the battlefield. Bodies littered everywhere: man, woman, not even children are spared. A cold feeling spreads through him. "I am strong but I couldn't protect everyone. But I must fight in order for the remaining people to return alive." As he clenched his hands around his sword, yes. Only after I defeat all the enemies, can I return to her. A memory flashes to his mind, a beautiful woman danced through the flowers, her golden hair swirling and a brilliant smile decorating her face, as she looks to him.
Yet suddenly, a gush of blood flows forth as a sword pierces through his body. Shocked that someone caught his guard down, he twisted his body and cuts off the hand of the enemy general. "O-our e-empi-pire w-won't lose..." The general said his last words as Argus stabs him in the heart. His body fell limp and he died.
Dazed, Argus stared at his wound. 'He wounded me? He? A mere mortal?!' A crazed thought occupies his head. 'How dare he?! How dare a mortal hurt an angel? Ridiculous!' Then he noticed how the wound won't stop bleeding. 'Rafaela! I need her! S-she would heal me! Save me! Rafaela where are you?! Why aren't you coming?!'
Neither Argus nor Rafaela noticed that as time passes, Argus is slowly becoming corrupted by his desire, his pursuit for the power. That same desire attracted the evil Lord of the Abyss. If he could get the powerful angel on his hands, the domination of the Land of Dawn will soon be near. And so he once again whispered to Argus.
"I told you, didn't I? Humans, elves, everything will soon forget about the angels. They will stop praying for they have already grown stronger, while you remains unchanging, growing weaker." He taunted him, drawing out his desires. "Remember my child...I can give you endless power...You'll be the most powerful of all. Everyone will bow down upon you."
"W-what about Rafaela?" Argus stuttered.
"What about her? Don't worry, when you become the most powerful being, she will praise you." The Lord of Abyss. "Or are you gonna watch her become a slave to humans?"
Suddenly a scene flashes through his head. A young girl being pushed to the ground as a soldier laughed as he pulls her hair and sniffed it. The girl looked at him, stretching out her hand as if asking him to save her but the soldier already raises his sword and swung down. A scream came out from his mouth as he shivers.
"Come my child and look at this seal." Argus suddenly appeared at a dilapidated ancient courtyard. "All you need is to destroy the seal containing the Meteoric Sword, an ancient sword with evil power that had witnessed countless demises of valiants. Then you'll be unparalleled under the heavens."
Argus slowly walked towards the seal and the Lord of Abyss' chuckles is breaking the silence. "I must be the strongest. Power. Give me power." As if in a trance, Argus moves towards the center of the seal and draws out his blood. A gong resounded through out the entire Land of Dawn, signifying the doom that will devastate it.
A dark purple malevolent aura spreads circling around Argus as a sword comes out beneath the seal, the cries of thousands of souls that have fallen resonates as if welcoming back the Meteoric Sword. Then converged towards Argus, as his demonization started. Unimaginable pain racked to him, his armor becoming black and his pure wings falling replaced by a wretched black wings. The Angel of Dark, Punisher of Crimes, Harbringer of Justice have fallen, leaving only an immortal incarnation of evil.
