"Oh my god it's so hot why do we have to meet today!" she shouted at Cato.
He rolled his eyes and said "Well if some idiot didn't schedule their job interview today at 4:50 we would have more time to discuss"
"Don't make fun of me I was too excited " she replied pouting. From a far they looked like a dream couple, cute and sweet, but seriously they were just friends. They entered a small and quiet cafe, sat down ordered the drinks and got down to business.
"Ok so idiot when you go to the interview don't just eat ok, and also you need to think about the questions they'll ask you and yes they will ask questions. Oh and also try to look friendly because we all know you look scary as hell when you're nervous and-"
She cut in between his speech and sighed loudly. "I'll be fine... I think, anyway I won't do any of that I just want to know what to do if I don't want to do the job because, I don't just what if"
"Well then tough. I know you want it to be easy and nice but life's not like that. There are going to be people who are horrible and you just have to hold your head high and get on with it" he replied patting her back.
"Ok" she said fiddling with her thumbs "I'm just so nervous it's weird" she said.
"Oh yes I wanted to ask do you know the bosses name?" he asked curiously.
"I think it's Lu-" she was cut off by a friendly waitress bringing their drink. While Cato talked to the young waitress she took a few sips of her tea she imagined multiple scenarios of the interview. Oh yes the interview was at-. Oh no the interview is at 4:50 she thought. What time is it now? Rummaging through her bag she found her phone and checked the time, the numbers 4:43 flashes on her screen. "Oh my god Cato I need to go it's 4:43 I'm going to be late" she gasped taking out her wallet and slamming some money on the table while getting up to leave.
After pushing and running through a crowd she arrived at the destination of the interview. A small shop, the interior was elegant but simple and in one corner was a male receptionist typing away on the computer. Quickly fixing her hair she rushed up to him and told him about her appointment. He raised his eyebrow as she told her the appointment time signaling the fact that she was quite late. She was immediately shown to a spacious room on the left of a corridor.
"You're 15 minutes late" the voice echoed as she stepped into the room.
She looked up to apologize when she saw a face she never wanted to see again. She gave a self pitying laugh as she thought that her day couldn't get worse.
