Third Person's POV
JinHit Entertainment was struggling financially even before their formed boy group, BTS debuted. Their staffs are leaving one by one because of the company's financial struggles. But the CEO, Bang Shi Hyuk still believes that the day will come when their talent will be recognized and all their hard works will be paid off.
But this day, an important part of the team has decided to leave. Mr. Lee, the current manager of the only boy group of the company, BTS, handed his resignation letter to their CEO with a heavy heart.
"It has been a tough decision and I've thought about it a lot of times. You know that I've been with them since the beginning and they are like my sons. But I can't also neglect my duty as a husband to my wife and a father to my children. And you also know that my wife is pregnant. I can no longer put aside my family's needs." Explained Manager Lee.
"Please do not leave them, especially now that they are about to release their new album. I beg you, please reconsider your resignation, Mr. Lee. You can see how much the group puts their effort to be recognized. We promise to give you a decent pay once their next album succeeds." Bang Shi-Hyuk said pleadingly.
"I am well-aware of that Mr. Bang. But it has already been a year since they debuted and the boys are still not making any progress. And as much as I want to continue managing them, I also have a family to support. I am really sorry, I really hope you understand."
Explained Mr. Lee in a firm but apologetic voice.
Mr. Bang let out a deep sigh. This has been the worst-case scenario since BTS debuted. He can't just throw away the boys' hard work. He knows that he has to do something.
"I respect your decision. But can you please give us time to look for a new manager? Their new album is scheduled to launch next week and this is a crucial stage for them."
"Alright. I will give you a week. Just, one week. And after that, please understand that I have to go. This is the last thing that I can do for you and for the boys." He said then stood up, and bowed to show his respect.
"Thank you for being a part of this company." Said Mr. Bang with a big lump in his heart. He has no choice.
---------
On the other room, the seven boys are waiting anxiously. RM, the leader, stood up and rushed to their CEO's office. As the door opened, he saw their manager bowing to Mr. Bang.
Mr. Lee saw him and smiled bitterly. He has to let go of a group that he treated as his own children.
"Manager-nim?" RM said not knowing what's happening.
"You have to look after yourselves now. Please take care of the rest of the boys. I wish you good luck on your career."
Mr. Lee said as he pats RM's shoulder.
"But Manager-nim! Please do not leave us. What are we going to do now?" RM pleads while holding back his tears. This is what he feared the most. People leaving them one by one because the company has been struggling financially. His dreams for himself and for the group started to fade as he watched Mr. Lee walk away.
"Namjoon-ah, call the rest of the boys. We all need to talk." Pd-nim said nonchalantly.
"Ne, Pd-nim"
--------
"Hyung! What happened? Did their talk went well?" Taehyung asked hopefully.
"Is Manager-nim staying here?" Added the maknae, Jungkook.
"Yah Namjoon-ah. Why aren't you answering us?" Hoseok asked worriedly.
"Pd-nim wants to talk to us. Let's gather at the conference room."
"Hyung! What is going on? Hyung!" The younger ones asked but Namjoon stayed silent and left the rest puzzled.
"Namjoon is acting strange. I wonder what's going on." Yoongi mentioned.
"He must be pranking us. Don't worry guys. Let's go. Pd-nim must be waiting for us." Seokjin said trying to lighten up the mood.
------
At the conference room.
"Everyone please take a seat. We have to discuss something urgent," said Mr. Bang.
"Waaah~ Why is the atmosphere so serious? Pd-nim! Stop frightening us." Seokjin said jokingly.
"Kim Seokjin, this is an important matter."
"Joesonghamnida Pd-nim," Seokjin said and seated next to Yoongi.
"I guess there's no need to beat around the bush. Okay, everyone. I know that your album launch is just around the corner and it really breaks my heart to tell you this, but Mr. Lee decided to leave us due to personal reasons. And we only have a week to find a new manager or else we have no choice but to temporarily disband you until this company can support your financial needs.
As you all know, the staff has been underpaid for so long and a single group's earning is not enough. And also given the fact that you just debuted last year. I understand and I know that you've been putting every effort to be recognized, but as you can see, we are barely making a progress.
Let's just hope that we can find you a temporary manager as soon as possible to help you with your next album. Don't be discouraged. You guys have been through so much and I believe that we can overcome this. You are called Bangtan Sonyeondan for a reason." Bang Pd-nim said trying to cheer them up.
"Yah! Don't lose hope! I'm still here! I'm your hope, you're my hope, I'm J-hope remember? Stop frowning everyone! Jungkook-ah, Taehyung-ah, stop crying alright?" Hoseok said and hugged the two crying maknaes.
Jimin, who's trying to hold back his tears joined the group hug and patted Taehyung and Jungkook's back.
The oldest hyung also stood up and joined the group hug followed by Yoongi and Namjoon.
"WE CAN DO THIS EVERYONE! BANGTAN SONYEONDAN FIGHTING!" Namjoon, the leader, said enthusiastically.
"BANGTAN FIGHTING!" They shouted in unison.
A smile formed on Bang Pd-nim's lips as he watched the boys. He knew he made the right choice.
