CHAPTER 8- She Knows
I just arrived in the café and the first thing I noticed is the young girl who have been following Sir Clyde.
She is seating beside the cash register looking at her nails. Her legs are swaying back and forth as if she is feeling really comfortable.
The moment I opened the door she instantly lifted up her gaze at me and smiled, a dangerous one. It's like any time she would do something bad.
She runs towards me but I just continued walking pass her as if I really didn't see her in front of me.
"Hyunah can you stay as a cashier today? I already told sir that I wouldn't be able to work today since my little brother is in the hospital and no ones with him, I'll be gone for a week." Annie said to me feeling sorry. So that's the reason why she looks so worried last time she's even carrying two bags with her.
"And also a part-timer will come today just tell her to serve the order of the customers"
"Got it. Hope your little brother gets well soon" I told her and she gave me a smile.
"thanks, I'll go now see you." I just nodded at her then she went out.
As I am preparing for the day the young girl just keeps talking to me and I just keep on ignoring her.
"Hi I'm Rica, Hyunah right?"
"I know you can see me. You were even surprised to see me last time"
I ignored her and went to turn the open sign at the café door.
"oh, was it you are surprise because my brother treats you and not because you can see me?"
"do you like my brother? I can help you, you know. And brother doesn't have any experience with girls nor being in a relationship."
When will she stop talking and following me.
The moment I came back to my place as a cashier. A girl who's about 18 years old entered the cafe.
"Excuse me ma'am I'm Sandra I'm here as a part timer." then she slightly bowed at me.
"nice to meet you Sandra I'm Hyunah. Come let's get your uniform" As I greeted Sandra, Rica's expression changed into pain and disgust but just a few minutes she's already grinning as she looks at the part timer. I have a bad feeling at this it looks like she's planning something.
As I'm busy taking the customers' orders, Rica seated beside the cash register. She has been making comments on the customers' outfit, their hair and their makeup.
"Did you see her face contour? It's too dark"
"That blue dress is cute on her. Oh look at the little kid it's so adorable"
I hope she'll stop for once.
"Why will you not talk to me?" she stared at me.
"I'll make you." after saying those words she runs to bump Sandra who have been holding a coffee. Causing the coffee to spill on the customers table.
The customer got furious, luckily the manager talked to her.
I instantly run towards Sandra and brought her to the employee section and gave her an ice for the burn.
"You may rest for now just treat your burn, we'll handle the customers'." As I'm talking to her Rica is also beside me.
"Why do you still ignore me?" Rica ask me but I just ignored her and continue to talk to Sandra.
"here's a spare uniform you may change into this." I gave her the spare uniform and she went inside the changing room.
"you clearly don't like to talk to me.I know you can see us you just talk to the no name guy in your apartment a while ago."
"What do you want?" I instantly averted my gaze to her.
"I knew you can see me" she said happily while clapping her hands.
"what do you want?" I ask her again.
"give me time to think" she said then walk away.
"Who are you talking to?" Sandra gave me a confused look she's now wearing a new uniform.
"No one I was just remembering the lines in the comic that I'm making" She look at me in weird way and force a smile, I hope she's convinced.
And after that incident in the morning Rica is nowhere to be seen. My work got smoothly I don't know why did I ask her that I'll just hope that she won't request impossible things to do.
