When the great cloud swept down on the universe, it created the stars as a representation of its light. It could never stop moving because it was eternally hunted by the darkness, so it left four eggs to protect its creation. Asterion was the firstborn, protector of the great starlight. Eruviel was the second-born and protected the planet of Eru. Aeru, third-born and keeper of the mystical and the moon of Aru, the moon of Eru. Before Illurariel was born the darkness found the universe and seeped some of its power into her egg.
The old legend called them dragons, a mortals folly to explain beings of extraordinary power.
The old legend tells of a great harmony when Asterion looked after the star, Aeru sought knowledge of the universe and Eruviel brought life to Eru. She fostered the hills and rivers, the seas and mountains. She created beings that would reside and cultivate her creation.
Aeru brought mystical beings to life to help him preside over his knowledge, he crafted them a mystical place that was tied to his moon of Aru but also the planet of Eru, this place was called Aerudormu by his creations and existed in a place between worlds.
Eruviel had the power to create life but she didn't have the knowledge of Aeru to give her creations the freedom of will and knowledge. Aeru, wary of creating too many beings of thought helped Eruviel on the condition that when her creations natural life ended, their knowledge and free will would join his creation in Aerudormu. It was so that Eruviel and Aeru created the first races of the world of Eru. Illurariel found solace in the darkness but became increasingly jealous of the work that Eruviel and Aeru had done, she did not see the beauty in their world. The darkness crept more and more into her mind and used its influence to make her more and more hateful
So it was that the great age of harmony ended in betrayal as Illurariel attacked Eruviel and sought to end her creation. Aeru intervened but was slain by Illurariel in her great rage.
Eruviel cried to Asterion for help and the firstborn came down from his lair in the Stars and defeated Illurariel. It was too late to help Aeru so Asterion and Eruviel laid him to rest on his precious Aru, Aeru's spirit was weak so they carried it his realm of Aerudormu to be nurtured by his spirits. Legend says that Aeru is still recovering to this day, Asterion then banished Illurariel to the darkness and created a barrier of starlight and the power of the great cloud. In the darkness, legend has it that Illuariel is still plotting the destruction of the world of Eru
Eruviel in her sorrow laid herself to rest in the mountains of Eru and left her physical body to become the world she has built. Asterion, knowing he was the alone to protect what the cloud had created and enamored by Aeru and Eruviels creation on Eru came down to the races of will and knowledge. He bestowed to the greatest mind of each race a gift of his own power. These powerful minds became known as the Guardians of Asterion. Asterion then added his own addition to Eru. The great city of Asri, the city in the clouds and the seat of the Guardians of Asterion. Which gave them the power to see and protect the world of Eru. The last gift he bestowed the world was the starlight of Asterion, a Shard which true power has been lost in the ages
Asterion ascended to the star and began his great slumber
So ended the first age
