Chapter 24: Chapter 24
Some of the girls took that opportunity to use the washroom, some sat to rest their aching limbs, some removed their shoes, some eat something but because of the sudden break and Angel was a little way up the mountain that passed the washrooms, so she had to join the line to get a washroom to use.
It was only after Mr. Burns saw that Angel had finished using the washroom and returned to the front did he declare that they break was over and they were continuing. Angel got instep and followed Mr. Burns, they made two more washroom stops along the way because of the long journey, it was fortunate for them that they made it to the top of the mountain by half two with the amount of begging the girls did to slow down the paste or even to get a few breaks.
At the last break they had Angel ate a sandwich with her juice which helped her get some strength to keep going forward. Mr. Burn also ate his lunch since it was after twelve when they ate.
When they arrived at the top of the mountain it all the girls saw that there were sheds and benches that they could shelter and get comfortable rest. Angel also sighed after sitting on a swing and enjoyed the cool air on top of the mountain. It was only when Angel really looked at the group on top of the mountain did she realize a lot of girls were either lagging behind or they just gave up.
She didn't mind because it meant that they eliminated themselves from the competition which meant that there were yet another reduction in the amount of girls going forward and she passed the fourth rounds. However, she still didn't slow down or lag behind when they left the mountain top an hour and a half after they arrived. Angel was sure that the elimination process was still going on.
When they did arrive at the bottom of the mountain it was nearing seven and the place was getting darker by every second that went by. There were only three buses that were packed at the bottom of the mountain which could hold twenty five people only awaiting their return, but the group fit in the three buses including Mr. Burns who sat on the step of one of the bus.
The journey was quiet back to the hotel because most of the girls were sleeping from exhaustion. Angel also wanted to sleep but there was no time for that as she was studying from the textbook and making notes for one of her examinations in the upcoming week.
Angel showered and ate dinner when they returned to their apartment, and it was only through dinner did she notice number three was missing. Angel remained quiet throughout the dinner and it was only after she returned to her room and laid on the bed did the exhaustion truly hit her and she was out the very next second.

Round five started from eight the next morning, all the girls were to meet in the hall where each of them were given an unlimited bank card to shop with. The seventy five girls that moved on to the fifth round were divided in the same buses. Each bus split of at the entrance of the hotel.
The bus Angel was in headed to the beauty salon, which so happened to be the same one that Miss Carter had taken her pack to before. This time they didn't have any supervision so the girls could get any treatment they wanted. Angel settled for a simple pampering which was a massage, pedicure, manicure and a simple washing, drying and flat ironing of her hair.
Compared to the time before when they went to the beauty salon and the attendants were talking about how she looked, this time there were many attendants that wanted to attend to her because she was slimmer, her skin was smooth and she was looking more beautiful.
One of the attendant was surprised that she was the same girl that she attended to a little more than a week ago. Since the girl remembered her from before she told the other attendants what treatment they had received and they gave Angel the same treatment as before.
The waxing was painful but not as painful as week before and her body felt more relaxed because she knew what to expect. Angel was still the first to finish her treatment and waited in the bus, and while waiting she looked at the receipt that the receptionist gave her after she finished paying.
Angel saw that she had only paid four hundred for everything, including the waxing. She felt a heartache because her pack would only be able to see this kind of money once a month from a person that actually worked in the village.
However, when the other girls entered the bus she heard that hers was the lowest compared to the other girls who got a complete make over. Angel sat quietly in her seat which was the single passenger seat behind the driver as she pulled out the list that each girl got. She clipped the receipt to the clip board as she viewed the list of things they had to buy.
Clothing:
Two formal dresses
One cocktail dress
Two pants suit
Two skirt suit
Two dress suits
Three pants (one can be a jeans while the other two should be dress pants)
Five shirts (more for business meetings)
Three t-shirts
Three dress tops (can be pull over or button up)
Footwear:
One sandals
One sneakers
Two pairs of heels, (one for regular business use, one to attend formal parties)
Cosmetics:
Eyeliners
Eyeshadow
Lipstick
Lip gloss
Foundation cream or powder
Undergarments:
Underpants (such as tights)
Stockings (foot socks, knee high and panty hose)
Underwear (sets would be better)
Vest and slips
After looking at the list Angel put the clipboard back in her bag.
