Chapter 16: Data System
Ronald returned inside the hotel with all the forms straight to the manager of the hotel, the manager took all the forms and saw that they were filled out accordingly. The manager then took out his mobile and called someone, within five minutes a handsome guy with a bright smile came out of the elevator and walked towards the manager.
The next girl in line saw a new personnel heading behind the desk with the receptionist. She got ready to walk forward but instead she saw that the man that was standing to the side who seemed to be overseeing everything that was happening by the receptionist desk walk towards the new personnel and handed him the clipboards that was in his hand.
The girl got annoyed because she had been standing in the line for almost an hour and it was her turn next but instead that man who arrived less than an hour came and collected some things left and returned with it in less than twenty minutes time. She was furious because she collected her own clipboard and filled out the information while in the line.
She wondered which group of girls he was overseeing and wondered if there was anyway that she could their group because at that moment she felt envious of that group of girls. Soon there was a vacant receptionist and she head forward, it took her two minutes to get all her information process and she was waiting for her keys for the room she would be staying in.
Jeffery, the new personnel that joined the other four that was filling out the information on the computer was busy putting in the information. He was enjoying his hour rest because of how busy their shift was that night due to the constant flow of girls that were participating in the new selection.
He was personally thought by the information technician on how to use the new inputting system that the Royalty Hotel's would have throughout the world because the young prince had found that some of the receptionist were treating the guests unfairly. He then had to come to this forgotten country that not many people ever visited because of it's poor state and had to teach the receptionist the new system over the past week.
He was exhausted from overseeing the late night shift from six in the night to six in the morning but their shift had been extended for another two hours because they were the ones that became familiar with the system. He had taken the second to last hour to take a rest because according to the information they got, there were only four groups had to arrive and he believed that the four individuals he left were capable enough to handle it as they were all given a half an hour rest every five hours.
He didn't expect that the biggest group would arrive while he was hoping that he could of extended his time for a little over an hour. That thought was ruined as the manager called him and requested that he saw about the group since there were still a lot of girls in the line for the other four to see about.
He didn't understand why they would take so long to process seventy young girls as all they had to do was enter the girl's name in the system and the data would process on it's own. The only time they might have to enter something again is if the girl had the same name of another girl in another pack or clan. It wasn't that hard, but then again the people living in this country was that intelligent as there were limited amount of people that would get to go Royalty College, which was on the institution that gave higher education and there were only five within this small country and there was only an intake of one hundred students that are granted scholarship and the rest had to pay for their own certificate or degree.
Jeffery took twenty minutes to enter the names of the ten young ladies and got their room numbers. The system had made it that they were placed randomly as he believed the system would play it's own game and pick any room for the girls or anyone that wanted to stay in the hotel.
"Why isn't it changing?" he heard the receptionist next to him ask.
"What not changing?" Jeffery asked the guy.
"The age?"
"Let me see the form," Jeffery asked, when the guy handed the form to Jeffery, Jeffery looked at the information that was on the form and on the system. "It is because the pack name has to change."
"Huh?" the guy asked and then looked at the form and the information on the system, "But the form says Red Moon Pack and the system has Red Moon Pack, so why isn't it changing?"
"Because she marked the wrong pack name for you on the form. Red Moon Pack is the second strongest pack in this country. Some of the girls didn't expect that the system would pick up when they put their own things. Here look at this," Jeffery showed him where it had, 'Already checked in at 3:23am.'
"Are you saying that she tried to cheat us?"
"A lot of girls tried to do that tonight, that is why the system was set up in the first place."
"Understand, how would I know which pack she was from then?"
"Watch," Jeffery told him and showed him where the pack name was, it was changeable so he clicked the down icon and checked the next pack, he did it one more time before he saw that it was free. He then verified the information on the form and saw that everything else was corresponding except for the pack name. "See?"
"Yes," the guy answered as Jeffery looked back at his own computer to see that the complete list of name for the ten girls were on the screen together with the apartment number, room number, the names of their attendant, assistant, trainer and caretaker, their schedule for their meeting and training with the time and place.
He noticed that all ten girls were on different floors, he felt sorry for the attendant and caretaker because this was the biggest group and they would have to take care of all their day to day needs until they were eliminated.
The rules had change this time where instead there would be one individual from each race would move forward to from each pack or clan one person would move forward. He could imagine how long and tedious this selection was going to be.
The list was printed out five times and at the top of each list had the name of the position that the list was given to and their position. Jeffery gave the list to the manager, the manager then took the forms and the list, he looked for the list for the attendant and he started to go through the forms according to name and attached a piece of the tagging strip next to the name and then he gave it to Ronald. Ronald took the lists and walked back to the bus, he gave Jack his copy which was actually different from the rest.
Jack noticed to the side of the name of the girls were their apartment and room number, but along with it was the color of a strip that was to identify the name with the luggage and room. He had already put all the luggage on the cart so he head to the receptionist desk with the list and the cart, Jeffery was about to see a girl in the line when Jack walked up to him and showed him the list.
