Chapter 11: Signing The Marriage Form
"Mate," was the first thing she said and caused him to stop in his track.
"What?" he turned and looked at her, before he looked to see if there was anyone else in the room.
"Don't leave me mate," she said as she looked at him.
Jeremy thought she was missing her mate or she was imaging things because his mate had died just two days ago and he was already at the point of giving up himself. However, he continued visiting everyday after he finished work, one afternoon he said, "I am sorry but you are not my mate. My mate died three years ago on the same day I bounced you, actually I bounced you when I was about to return home after visiting her grave. It was because of me she killed herself and also because of me that you are in the hospital."
"I once had a mate as well, but thirteen years ago another woman cheated me and claimed him as her own. I have been praying since that day that the moon goddess would bless me with a second chance mate because I know I could never be with him. Maybe you are also getting a second chance, I can give you time to accept me but we can start of friends if you don't mind."
"I don't know about the second chance thing but I can try the friendship thing, as I actually need a friend."
Jeremy became her friend since then and slowly his heart started to heal with the help of Leena that the pain he once felt started to lessen and replace with happiness which slowly started to develop into love.
He returned one evening after work and couldn't stand to enter the house because all he could see was the blood of his dead mate on the floor as it seemed as though she was still there and reminding him constantly of her existence as she didn't want him to forget her and move on.
He remembered someone tell him that there was a wizard that can chase spirits away, he wanted to do that because he was thinking of bringing Leena home to his place to live. He finally got the courage to look for the wizard and sort his help, he didn't expect that the wizard's daughter would be his second chance mate who he was slowly falling in love with.
From that evening he was invited to live with their family because Yin didn't want to live alone and Leena didn't think it was right for her to leave her father alone because she knew that he would always remember her mother and then she was the only one that could tell Angel when her father wanted to see her.
Jeremy grew to love the small family very much and accepted that Leena was his second chance mate but he was still afraid that she would end up like his first mate that he restrained himself from being intermit with her. On the door she tricked him into sleeping with her he found out that she was still pure and innocent, he accepted her more but it so happened that she also became pregnant that same night.
He still hasn't fully accepted her complete but from that night he couldn't keep his hands to himself anymore and would be with her as much as he could but in a way that it wouldn't affect their unborn child. He touched her huge stomach that was evidence of their first night and then kissed her cheek before he head into the bathroom to get ready because he had a long trip to City A to drop of the documents.
After dressing he returned to the kitchen and saw that both Lee and Angel was helping the maids and cook to wash and cut up the vegetables. They actually looked good working together and wondered if they weren't suppose to be mates instead. Lee looked up at Jeremy who was standing by the door as he felt his gaze on them, and then looked at Angel who was immersed in what she was doing.
Jeremy then returned to the living room and said, "Do you try that guy with your mate?"
"Yes, why?"
"He seems to be getting along very well with her. I am afraid that one day he might fall in love with her and fight you for her."
"He wouldn't dare fight me for my wife," Leon said as Jeremy saw him putting two passport size photos of himself together with two of hers and in an envelope before he stapled it to the form.
"Are you sure?"
"Maybe not, but if I become the next king he wouldn't dare fight the next king for his queen," Leon said with a smirk.
"She is too ugly anyways," they heard Lee said from behind Jeremy.
"I thought I told you to keep an eye on her?"
"I was until he came, I want to go with him to make sure that the documents are delivered safely," Lee said and then pointed at Jeremy.
"You don't trust me?"
"How long will it take from here to the lawyers office?" Lee asked Jeremy.
"Normally it will take three hours with my fastest speed."
"It is already half four, which means we only have two and a half hours to arrive at the car park, but then the office might close before we reach and we will have to try again tomorrow. I will drive and you can tell me the direction. We cannot leave this here before she changes her mind," Lee said.
"Fine, but someone will have to stay with my mate because she can go into labor at any time," Jeremy said.
"I will stay with her, don't worry. After all your father in law has to take my mate home and I don't know the way or want anyone else to see me. I am also afraid to be around my mate right now because I might be inclined to doing something that can ruin my chances of ever being with her."

Anna_Iza I know a lot of you like the story from before, I liked it as well but I got a writers block after a while and I wanted to spice it up a bit because it was become boring for me to write and to me boring things become like a task.
