Chapter 10: Leena and Jeremy Second Chance
"There is nothing for you to worry about," he godfather told her.
'How can there be nothing to worry about, when the rules are bias and there are so much responsibility to take on? Is there anyway I can op out of being in this selection? Apart from that, wouldn't I filling out this marriage form also be a breach in the selection? I am giving up my independence to be with someone if I sign the form, someone that I do not know. Who would even want a girl like me, but then the good thing about signing it is that the other person wouldn't know what I look like, but then that would be deception and a lie. I always wanted the person I want to marry be someone that accepted me for who I am and not because of a marriage that they have signed blindly. I want my independence but to get that I have to fill out this form, a form that has a loophole that I will still have a year to myself. A loophole that I can still be a part of the selection, but then what if I am chosen to become the next queen, what will happen to my husband then? It doesn't matter because then the new king and my husband would have to decide who will want me. I will preserve myself for whoever I will be with in the end. The almighty will decide then, I will do whatever I can do now to get my freedom,' Angel thought and got of the sofa then kneeled on the ground next to the coffee table and looked through the documents until she got the marriage form.
She grabbed the blue ink pen that was on the table and before she change her mind she signed the form, she then grabbed all the rest of documents and sign them all before pushing it towards her godfather's side of the table as though saying you complete the rest before I change my mind. She then looked at the clock over the door and saw that it was just only four, she then grabbed the document of the lawyer and saw that the office would close at seven. She pointed the clock and then the paper to her godfather.
"Are you sure?" he asked her. Angel nodded, he then said, "You know once this go there is no way that we can stop it?"
Angel nodded again and pushed the pen his hand and gave him a pen to start writing and though saying get started and don't stop until you are finished. She also pointed the clock and the paper to say that he have to drop of the document today and before the office closed at seven.
"Find I will fill out the information for you and get Jeremy to drop in today because the lawyers office is in City A and you know I cannot drive so fast anymore. Plus I would have to drop you home before six," he told her before he started to fill out the information.
Angel didn't want to be around because she was afraid that she would change her mind so she left the living room and headed towards the kitchen to see what she could help make for dinner that night. "Follow her," Leon told Lee and Lee immediately got of the sofa and followed Angel to the kitchen.
When Angel arrived in the kitchen she saw it was just the two maids and the cook that was busy with the preparation for dinner. When she walked over the three ladies looked at Angel and smiled, the cook knew that Angel wanted to help as she climbed unto the stool and was about to grab a knife but the cook handed her a warm wet towel where Angel wiped her hands.
The cooked them placed a plate of chicken chow mein in front of her and a fork, Angel wanted to refuse but then her stomach made that offal noise that sell out how hungry she was. Angel immediately got into her meal as one of the maid got a glass of orange juice.
Lee observed this so called mute girl that was quietly eating in the kitchen while the other three ladies were busy preparing the ingredients for dinner. He stood leaning on the outside of the doorframe to the kitchen, but his presence was still noticed by one of the maid, she so dished out a plate of food for him and a glass of juice as well and placed it to the side of the island so that he could also sit and eat.
He slowly walked over and sat down, it would be obvious if he refused to walk over and eat as the maid had already sold out his presence and he was afraid that Angel would think that he was following her, even though that is what he was doing anyways.
In the living room Jeremy got up and headed to the kitchen first, he saw both Lee and Angel eating and the maids as well as the cook busy with dinner preparation. He then head to his room and saw his second chance mate laying on the bed. He walked over and removed the hair on her face, he never thought he would fall in love again after he saw his mate kill herself ten years after the last selection because she was eliminated.
She even went on a rampage and started to sleep around with a lot of men that she caused the moon goddess to curse her to never have any children. Jeremy wanted to have kids badly so he got her to go to the clinic for a check up, he hoped that if they had a child or two then she would settle down and change her life around but then he found out that she couldn't bear any kids.
That night he told her that she served no purpose living anymore, but he silently prayed that she would change her ways and the moon goddess would forgive her and bless her with some kids. He never thought that she would kill herself that night, he remembered that they were having dinner and he got up to refill their glasses with water. He suddenly smelled blood so he quickly returned to the dining room and there he saw her on the ground convulsing.
He immediately sobered up from watching his mate slit her throat in front of him, then hurrying to get her to the emergency ward but by the time she arrived at the hospital she was already proclaimed dead. He contacted her family and he had just the hospital because her family verbally abused him all different ways before forcing him out of the hospital as they blamed him for her death.
It had been on her third death anniversary after leaving the cemetery with remorse in his heart that he was speeding that he ended up bouncing into a young lady that was crossing the road with a bouquet of flowers in her hands. He quickly stopped the car and got out, he looked at the young lady that was bleeding from her head, hands and knees.
He quickly grabbed her up and put her on the backseat of his car as he sped his way to the closest hospital and then rushed her into the emergency ward. He was afraid he caused another woman's death on the same day.
He remained to make sure that there wasn't any serious damage and to pay the bill since he was the cause for her being in the hospital. Leena had been unconscious for two days as she was hit very hard because of the speed he was leaving the hospital in due to his frustration. He was about to leave on the second day when the visiting hour ended but just then she opened her eyes and look at him.

Anna_Iza Sorry for the new story line again. I had 10 chapters before and I have returned your ten chapters with a new story line or maybe improved from before.
