Chapter 8: Contents of the Envelope
Yin took up the envelope and slowly unseal the envelope so there wouldn't be any tear or rip on it. He emptied the contents of the envelope on the coffee table and at the same time Angel opened her eyes and saw her godfather emptying the envelope that was addressed to her.
"Godfather, what are you doing?" Angel asked as she had forgotten that there were two strange young men in the living room with her. It was only when she looked around her surroundings did she notice them again and smirk.
"You want me to read it for you?" Yin asked and she nodded as she lost her voice again. "You would have to get over this nervousness sooner than later because you will meet a lot of strange people soon and neither Jeremy, Leena or I will be around to defend you."
Angel bend her head and looked at her tied hands, she looked at the guy that was sitting next to her and tried to raise her hand. Leon saw her simple action and understood that she wanted her hands untied, but was afraid to say it. He could clearly see the shyness and the little pink tinge that was slowly crawling up her cheek.
He wanted to tease her but was afraid that it would scare her away after he untied her hands, so instead he just untied the rope from on the sofa and then her hands. However, he made sure that throughout the whole process of untying her hands he kept touching her hand as he kept his eyes on her pink cheeks that kept getting pinker and pinker after each time he touched her hand.
Yin noticed that Leon kept his eyes on Angel's face while untying her hands and he could tell that Leon was enjoying teasing her but in a way that didn't look like he was teasing her. He could already tell that Leon didn't care about Angel's appearance and had already accepted her as his mate and life partner. Yin was glad that it was his own grandson that had become his mate but he was still afraid of what would happen to her when his daughter gets to find out who her son's mate was.
Angel looked at Yin after her hands were untied and straightened herself as she waited for him to hand her each document or for him to start reading. Angel was accustomed to just talking around Jeremy, Leena and Yin and knew that if she took the documents she would have to read it out loud because her godfather would also want to know what each document was about so the hand that she had outstretched to take it from the coffee table, she pulled it back and sat up and watched her godfather as though waiting for him to start reading a bedtime story for her.
Yin took up the first document, "This is a brochure for on campus accommodation," then he picked up another, "This is for off campus accommodation. I would say choose an on campus accommodation because it would be safer."
"The off campus would be more appropriate," Leon said, but then he saw Angel looking at him, "You are marked with the selection mark, it is not appropriate for you to stay on campus because then it will give the roommates a chance to harm you and that will not be good. With the off campus you will be given a personal apartment."
"Hmm, that sounds okay, and I could come and stay with you if you want. You wouldn't be alone. That is settled then, after we can choose where you would want to stay. These are for on campus and off campus employment."
Angel pointed the off campus, "You can have both you know. The university wouldn't restrict you from that, from the on campus you can choose the library to work during the hours between lectures and you would also be able to have access to all the books to do your research. The off campus can be for the days you have no classes, weekends and vacation time," Lee said.
"Okay, library is for the days you are on campus and we will choose which off campus job you will take after."
"I would say she choose something that is related to her degree and masters so that it would be easier for her," Leon said.
"This is your scholarship letter," Yin said and handed it to her as Angel took the letter and started reading.
'Good day Miss White,
We are pleased to inform you that your application for a scholarship at Royalty University to pursue a postgraduate masters have been accepted for two years starting from 20XX - 20XX.
You are required to full out all the forms that are included in the package, there are both on campus and off campus accommodation provided for you as well as on campus and off campus employment.'
Angel stopped reading and hand the letter back to Yin so that he could read the letter out loud for the others to also hear. Yin took the letter and started reading.
"Good day Miss White,
We are pleased to inform you that your application for a scholarship at Royalty University to pursue a postgraduate masters have been accepted for two years starting from 20XX to 20XX.
You are required to full out all the forms that are included in the package, there are both on campus and off campus accommodation provided for you as well as on campus and off campus employment.
Your postgraduate is a masters which would not require your attendance on campus at all times as such you will be provided with both on campus and off campus employment and accommodation.
There are brochures provided for both on campus and off campus accommodation and employment. On the registration form you are to state which masters you intend to pursue to getter with the dormitory of your choice for on campus accommodation in case you have late night or early morning lectures because there are specific times for shuttles according to where your off campus apartment or employment may be.
