Chapter 5: What Happened To Her?
Angel left Leena in her office and headed to the temporary classroom building tutorial room four, when she arrived the room was still empty so she sat in a corner and unwrapped the sandwich to eat it. After she took the first bite she tasted the mouth watering chicken paste mixed with a salad. She had finished eating the chicken paste salad sandwich before the others arrived, and also had time to throw away the empty wrapper. It was when she was returning to her seat that the others started to enter the tutorial room and started along with the tutor and they all took their seats and shortly after the tutorial started.
Angel was relieved when the tutor did not call her once in the tutorial to give her answer for the Human Resource Management course but was glad that she got all her answers correct although she missed out a few points in between but she made note of it and included it in. The tutor also returned the last assignment sheets with their marks that they had handed in two weeks prior and she saw that she had only lost two marks but there was red ink on the paper with the missing parts she had forgotten.
At the end of the tutorial Angel packed her backpack and headed straight towards the laundry room immediately, but when she arrived the room was crowded since everyone that was staying on the campus was trying to wash before they headed back home for the two weeks. It was a usual thing that happened every semester on the last day of lectures.
Angel walked through the crowd and tried her best to avoid bumping into anyone as she went towards her locker and took out her bag. Suddenly she heard someone said, "You better had and don't try to push in now," a girl said with attitude as she watched Angel, but Angel didn't take her on as she didn't think the girl was talking to her.
Angel continued to ignore her and locked back the locker and headed out of the laundry room towards the library. She arrived twenty minutes past two and stood waiting for Leena with the bag in her hand. Leena arrived exactly at half past two, but instead of coming from the direction of the social sciences lecturers building, she came from the direction of the administrative building with her handbag, her documents and textbook bag and a thick brown manila envelope.
When Leena reached Angel, Angel saw her name printed on the envelope together with the name of her degree, college and a contact name and number which was Leena's since Angel didn't have a contact number and her address was not appropriate to give the school.
There was only one thing that was running through her mind from the thickness of the envelope which was that she had been accepted to attend Royalty University in Country A with a scholarship and that thought alone made her very happy which caused her eyes to shine and her lips to turn into a smile.
"Come on, we don't want to be late now, okay," Leena said and pulled the excited girl with her to the staff only parking where Leena had parked her car. "Put your things in the back."
Angel put the bag with her clothes and her backpack on the backseat before taking the passenger seat to ride shut gun while Leena got in the drivers seat. They were soon on their way to Leena's home but they stopped midway at the supermarket that was closer to Leena's home.
Angel pushed the trolley and helped put the heavier things on the trolley while Leena choose everything that they needed and Angel loved to eat. Angel wasn't even paying attention to exactly what Leena was picking up anymore because at that moment the itchiness started again and she was only studying to scratch the left side of her neck.
Leena saw Angel was scratching but didn't really take it on as she continued shopping for everything that they needed for Angel and for what they needed to prepare for dinner for Angel's pack members.
After Leena took up everything that they needed they both headed to the cashier and paid for everything that was on their trolley. They packed everything in bags and they placed the bags in the trolley as Angel pushed the trolley to the car and unpacked the bags from in the trolley into Leena's car trunk then returned the trolley before getting in the passenger seat again.
Leena pulled out of the car park and was heading home when she noticed that Angel was still scratching her neck and thought that something had bitten Angel in the supermarket so she pulled to the side of the road which was approximately ten minutes away from Leena's home and put the car on park as she then remembered seeing Angel scratching a few times during the lecture and then in the supermarket.
"Turn your neck let me see," Leena said and Angel did as she was told, Leena saw a mark on Angel's neck, it was close to what she previously had twenty one years ago but instead of it being red, it was purple. Leena was unable to identify the symbol as the mark of Angel's origin because it had a combination of many different symbols of a lot of the other beings.
"What is it?" Angel asked.
"It is nothing really, just stop scratching and father would look at it when we arrive," Leena said and didn't tell Angel what it was exactly that was causing her to scratch. However she did notice the change of Leena's facial expression after seeing whatever it was on her neck.
Since Leena had started to drive again Angel planned to question Leena when they arrived at her home because she didn't want to cause Leena to panic and cause an accident which might cause Leena to go into early labor.
After they arrived at Leena's home Angel tried to take all the bags from in the car trunk but there was a lot so she decided to take the heavier bags and let Leena take the lighter bags. As soon as Angel entered the living room of Leena's home she asked Leena, "What is it that you saw on my neck?"
"I already told you it is nothing."
"You are lying to me, I will go and check it for myself."
"What are you worked up for? I already told you it is nothing."
"Lier, godfather Leena is lying to me," Angel shouted at the same time she looked at the sofas in the living room, there she saw her godfather, Jeremy and two strange young men sitting. The two young men looked a little older than Angel, but then suddenly Angel lost her voice due to nervousness, she also noticed Leena stopped and look at the group in the living room.
"What are you shouting about?" her godfather asked her.
Angel just looked at her godfather and then the two young men that was sitting opposite him. She then heard her godfather asking, "What happened to her?" as he saw Angel started to scratch her neck.
