Somewhere outside the city of Antoinerei, a young boy with a striking platinum blond hair carefully admired his intricate loot for the day.
It was a composite device created by the famed Dr. Rooney, from which the young boy stole in the doctor's heavily guarded laboratory.
He held it up to inspect the portable machine and smirked at his evidently successful raid earlier.
"Oo oo a a!" A creature chattered tugging at the side seam of his pants.
He looked down and saw his trusty partner trying to get his attention.
"Hey! Get out. I already gave your share little guy?" The blond boy announced.
"Oo oo!" His partner-in-crime, a primate named Dexter, impatiently waved his mini revolver while continuing on spouting gibberish.
"Alright! Alright! Here ya go!" He raised his arms in surrender and tossed another gold coin at the creature then proceeded in securing Dr. Rooney's device in his pocket.
Dexter contentedly grasped his additional share from their last heist before considering another thought. He climbed up on his partner's shoulder and chattered some more.
"Oo oo aa aa! Aa Oo oo. Ah aa. Oo oo oo!"
"Yeah, bud. That Bruno guy was a total pain in the butt. Thanks for busting me out." He reached for the monkey's head and patted it.
"Aa aa Oo oo. Oo oo oo ah aa?"
"I know. I know." He shrugged and cocked his head on one side. "Now that we've got the mirror device, we can finally get to complete our greatest heist ever!" His eyes glinted of a different kind of splendor.
They both laughed triumphantly as they made their way out of the city boundaries and on to the perilous lands of the far west.

Far beyond these lands the duo had always been infamously known as treacherous as the territories they conquer. They were the favorite tittle-tattle of drunk tavern men, warning their listeners of the team's recent elusive thievery.
No one... Nothing is truly safe from their skillful antics. Even the well-prepared guards of Eruditio were no match for the tandem's tricks. Soon, their recent heist on Dr. Rooney's lab will be sung by wary travelers across the Moniyan Empire and even the whole Land of Dawn, adding to yet another one of their infamous accomplishments.
As they walked along the enchanted forest, the silver haired boy couldn't help but snatch a wanted poster nailed on an oak tree. He squinted his eyes and wrinkled his nose as an artist's sketch of a boy with a monkey by his side stared back at him.
"Can you believe this, buddy?" He crumpled the poster and threw it as far away as possible. "I can't believe my bounty is only worth a million gold coins!" He pouted at his predicament.
"Oo oo aa aa?" The creature curiously asked.
"You're not even part of the bounty. Tsk." The young man turned around and replied, "I guess we better execute our next mission soon. Let's put your face on a separate poster with a generous amount of bounty as well." He cheekily winked at his partner-in-crime.
He paused and scanned the surroundings. The fliers were nailed in a hundred meter interval in the woods. He smirked and felt a certain kind of satisfaction when reading the contents aside from his supposedly low bounty...
