Chapter 29: Earned enough

"Lee Minjae, you are aware that you can not offend Min Soobin like that. If it is not about you, then think about me at least? He could have made me homeless," Oh Miyeon vocalised— exaggerating her words.

"My house has already been missing a bunny. I can take you in," Minjae commented.

While both of them walked towards the parking lot, a chuckle escaped from her mouth as she spoke out, "Your house? Do you actually have that?

I provided a roof over your head when you were locked out. But Soobin was generous. He didn't target you for those offensive words. I would have punched your nose if I was in his place."

"My birthday is coming up soon. Should I ask for a mansion from my father and apartment from my Hyung?" Minjae wondered, raising one of his eyebrows.

Slapping lightly on his chest, Miyeon scoffed at him and spoke out, "Didn't you say that you are going to get richer than me? You should try to buy one on your own."

Halting in his steps, he stared at Miyeon with visible mock in his eyes and questioned, "Do you think in your lifetime you ever earned enough to buy a mansion."

Before she was able to retort to him, a scream entered into her ears, and without wasting a second, she reflexively jumped away. That familiar loud voice caused her to respond quickly, and as her eyes fell on the wall, she hurriedly moved towards it in order to hide herself behind it.

"Minjae Oppa!" Oh Bohyun exclaimed.

Startled by the situation, Lee Minjae looked at Miyeon's direction, and Miyeon slightly peeked her head. Following Minjae's line of sight, Bohyun looked there, and Miyeon immediately hid herself from the sight.

"What are you looking at, Minjae Oppa? Who was that lady with you?" Bohyun coquettishly questioned, grabbing on to Minjae's arm tightly and pressing herself against it.

Discomfort was clearly visible on Minjae's face, and before he was able to respond to Bohyun, his phone vibrated due to the incoming notification.

"Hold on a second, Bohyun," Minjae said, forcing a smile upon his face.

Reaching into his pocket, he took out his phone as Bohyun moved little further from him. Her grip on his hand remained.

On the screen, there was a message from Miyeon, and it read, "Just get her out of here. Lee Minjae, if you bring any trouble to me, I will be really stabbing you to death."

Lee Minjae lips curved to form a small smile while he texted back: "Didn't you mention to me on how you are not scared of her? Were you bluffing?"

Almost immediately, a reply was sent: "Yah! Lee Minjae, let's talk about this all later on. Now, just take that crazy girl away."

A chuckle left his mouth.

Bohyun stared at Minjae with curiosity in her eyes and asked, "Who are you texting, Oppa?"

Minjae replied, "You owe me one. Remember that!"

With that, Minjae placed his phone inside his pant and said, "Nothing, and, Bohyun, did you check the news?"

I don't want to portray Soobin as a really arrogant character. Like, there would be some arrogance, but not too much. Not sure if I'm succeeding in that.

And Eunsung is a kind of important character.
