Chapter 18: Helping
Bambam and Becky walking together while they having a funny talk. While they were laughing because of some of the funny things, Becky's forehead bumped hard into someone.
Becky almost fell over if not for Bambam who quickly hold Becky and help her to stand straight again. "Woooppsiee... Watch out, Becky."
Becky groaned in pain while she caressed her forehead, which is really painful now. She looked into the person who she bumped into. The person she bumped into has a brown curly hair and was wearing a blue sky feminine clothes. The woman glances at her with a very sharp eyes without a smile shown on her face.
"I am so sorry. I didn't saw you there," Becky quickly apologise. Even though she was not the type of person who will apologise first but right now, it is better for her to not creating any trouble.
The woman rolled her eyes irritated. "Watch for your steps next time. Use your eyes properly."
When the woman walked away, Becky sticks out her tongue to her without the woman realised about it.
Bambam laughed when she saw Becky's action.
Soon after, they realized that the woman before was walking toward a garage. There was Lyeon who was standing in front of the garage while holding a black file in his hand.
There was also a big lorry inside the garage with many boxes near the lorry. Inside the boxes was a kitchen items.
"Oh, it was Lyeon. Let's go see him," Bambam grabbed Becky's wrist and they walked toward Lyeon.
"Hey, Lyeon... What's up?"
Lyeon shifted his head from the file toward the girls before he smiled in response. "What are you guys doing here??"
"Oh, we are just walking around. We just want to see what are you doing," Bambam replied.
"What were you guys doing??" Becky looked into the three wooden boxes filled with cabbages next to the lorry.
"The person who in charge to take care of this supply to the kitchen is sick, so Jakzen and I volunteered to do this job," Lyeon looked to the black file again.
"Oh, Jakzen is here??" asked Bambam.
"Yes, looking for me??" A familiar voice from the back of the lorry. Jakzen popped out his head from the back of the lorry and looked at the girls.
"Who is this kids, Lyeon?" Another familiar voice was heard and the brown curly hair woman appeared behind Lyeon with a wooden box of onions in her hands. She gives a sharp gaze toward the girls.
Becky started to frown when she heard the woman called them a kid. That is the most hateful thing she doesn't want to hear. Becky looked at the woman with an annoyed gaze.
"They are the new juniors. Girls, let me introduce you to my comrade, Symantha Jessi. Symantha, this is Becky and Bambam," said Lyeon, introducing the girls to each other.
"I need a help back there... Would one of you help me??" Jakzen's voice appeared again.
"Sure, we gladly do so," Bambam replied with an exciting voice. She really likes to help people so of course she was happy when someone need her help.
"Great! Then, follow me, pumpkin," Jakzen said and Bambam walked toward him with a big smile.
Lyeon looked at Becky who was still standing beside him. "You're not going to help them??"
"Can I stay here and help you instead??" Becky said with an aloof voice.
"Alright, you can help me to count the boxes of onions and tell Lyeon how many of those box. I need to send the box which already been recorded to the kitchen store," Symantha handed over the box of onions in her hands into Becky's hand.
Becky nodded with the new order. She looked at Lyeon who was now smiling at her. Becky didn't spare him another glance as she walked toward other boxes with onions in it.
....
"Help me to move all this boxes out from this lorry," Jakzen pointed to all of the boxes inside the lorry. He already move out half of it and with the help of Bambam, they might take all the wooden box out quicker than before.
Bambam looked at the wooden boxes that have been moved out from the lorry. Bambam looked at Jakzen and she just realised that Jakzen is sweating severally.
But then, Bambam become stunned at the view in front of her. She never saw that man sweating before and when she saw Jakzen sweating like this, Bambam saw he was really... Sexy.
With a handsome face, Jakzen really can attract attention from women this easily, just like now when Jakzen was sweating like this.
Bambam shook her head slightly at the weird thoughts in her mind. She must be crazy to even think that man was sexy when they were sweating. Jakzen must be tired, he is sweating too much...
"Alright, this is easy." Bambam rolled up her shirt sleeves until it reached her elbows.
Jakzen laughed at the high-spirited girl. "That is the spirit... Now let's start to work."
After that, Bambam and Jakzen then started to move out all the wooden boxes. Bambam will move the wooden boxes out from the lorry while Jakzen will take the wooden boxes from Bambam and put it on the side corner of the garage.
After lifting twenty wooden boxes, Bambam started to feel tired and her hands feel sore already. She wiped her sweats that was flowing down from her forehead. Bambam looked at the rest of the wooden boxes in the lorry. There is another twelve wooden boxes she need to move it out.
She sighed deeply. "Alright, twelve more to go!"
Jakzen, who was watching Bambam lifting the wooden boxes nonstop, realised that Bambam's movement become slower than before. He can see the tired face of Bambam and she was really sweating but she keep moving all the wooden boxes.
Jakzen smiled slightly. She is looked tired and was so sweaty but she still insisted to move the wooden boxes. She shouldn't forces herself. She can rest a bit if she want...
Bambam lifted up another wooden boxes and walked toward Jakzen. Unfortunately, she stepped into a round and slippery thingy-like, causing her to fall down drastically and the wooden box of flew off from her hand.
"ARGHH!!"
Jakzen, who is ready to take the wooden box from Bambam's hands, was shocked when he saw Bambam fall. He quickly widen his arms and catch Bambam.
They flopped on the floor together with Jakzen's back hit the floor first and what is following them after that is the sound of the crashing wooden box which has flew off from Bambam's hand.
"Urghh..." Jakzen groaned slightly as he felt the ache at his back. After all, Bambam also fell onto his body causing the pain to increase.
Bambam glance at Jakzen worriedly and quickly get up. "Oh, shit... Are you alright? I'm so sorry, I'm really sorry."
Jakzen hid his pain with a smile on his face. He slowly got up again with the help of Bambam.
Lyeon and Becky quickly walked to the back as soon as they heard the sounds of shouting and wooden box crashed.
"What happened?? "asked Lyeon.
Becky quickly walked toward Bambam and checked her physical condition. She was worried if Bambam was hurt when she saw Bambam was sitting on the floor. "Are you okay, Bambam? Did you get hurt?"
"I'm okay, Becky... I just slipped and fall off.. Jakzen save me from falling down," said Bambam, smiled reassuringly to Becky before she looked at Jakzen again.
"Are you okay, Jakzen?? Are you hurt somewhere?" asked Lyeon.
Jakzen smiled slightly as he shook his head. "I'm okay... It just an accident. We both are okay."
"That's good to hear. Next time be careful," said Lyeon.
"We will, brother," said Jakzen, patting his trouser from any dirty dust.
Bambam looked into the lorry again to check what was the slippery and round thing that make her fall. When Bambam saw the potato on the lorry, she frowned. How can a potato like this could hurt her??
"Damn potato! This thing make me slipped and fall down." Bambam picked up the potato and show it to Becky.
"Bloody hell! You fell down just because of one damn potato?" Becky laughed loudly while pointed her finger toward Bambam's face. Then, she stopped and said, "You should be careful, Bambam... I was worried that you might get injured."
Bambam shook her head continuously. "Don't worry, I can take care of myself."
"You need to rest first, Bambam. Let me handle the rest. I can see that you are really tired," said Jakzen.
"I still can carry all this wooden boxes. Don't worry. There are still eight wooden boxes we need to move out," Bambam shows Jakzen her reassuring smile.
"No, you need to rest.. I will handle this. You already sweating too much. Don't worry, Bambam... Just go get rest, don't make me worry about you again," Jakzen insisted that he want Bambam to take a rest.
His serious face making Bambam suddenly feel nervous. Moreover, Jakzen has said that he was worried about her. Bambam couldn't help thinking, why would he be worried about her?
Bambam stared at Jakzen who was looking at her with his concerned eyes. That eyes give Bambam a sudden feeling that make Bambam really uncomfortable. Therefore, she just glanced away, not paying any attention to Jakzen's words.
Becky patted on Bambam's shoulder slightly. "You should listen to him, Bambam. He save you from falling. You might get injured if you don't listen to him. Besides, you are sweating too much. You need to rest."
Bambam smiled at Becky's word. "Fine then... I will go rest."
Jakzen nodded and watched Bambam walks to the nearest chair.
"Hei, shorty... Let's get back to work. Our job is not done yet!" Lyeon knocked on Becky's head using the file in his right hand, causing Becky to complained in pain.
Becky give Lyeon an irritated face while touched her forehead. She really hate it when someone called her 'shorty'."Stop calling me that, you jerk!!"
Becky quickly leave Lyeon and Jakzen with an angry face. Then, she continued her work.
"Why did you have to make her angry? You are the type of guy who is a gentleman and you never teased a girl before. What's up with Becky?" Jakzen lifted an eyebrow toward Lyeon.
"Oh did I?? I don't think so because I've always teased Symantha. Did that count too?" Lyeon didn't look at Jakzen and instead checking the black file in his hands.
"No, you never treat Symantha like this," said Jakzen again.
Lyeon smiled slightly. "It was nothing, Jakzen. I just like to tease her. Nothings wrong to tease people, right?" Lyeon walked away to continued his work, leaving Jakzen standing in confused there.
"What the heck was that answer? Since when did he started to tease people?" Jakzen scratched his head confused.
Soon after, he shrugged it off and continue with his works.
