Chapter 3: 1.2
"Yoongi. Min Yoongi."
Now it was the sirens turn to be shocked. Memories began to flood through his mind.
~flashback~
"Daddy come on lets go look for shells!"
The shy small siren peeked from behind a rock to look at the other small, yelling boy. There he saw him, small little boy with his black hair that bounced slightly when he took a couple of steps, his milky white skin, eyes that held so much innocence. "Okay okay!" An older looking man exclaimed, giving a chuckle and looking down at his son with a bright smile.
The young siren felt a sense of saddness and almost jealousy as he looked at the two humans.
They smiled and laughed while digging for shells together while letting the ocean waves splash against them.
"Alright I'm going to get a bucket from the ship so you can put the shells in it, okay?"
"Okay daddy" the man ruffled his sons hair earning a giggle before going to retrieve the bucket.
The young boy silently hummed to himself as he continued to look for shells, moving from one place to another. The siren smiled to himself sadly, wishing he could be that little boy.
"No! My shells!"
The siren shook out of his thoughts when he heard the boy cry out for his shells. It hurt him to see the boys eyes fill with tears, bottom lip quivering. He didn't want to see the small boy cry at all.
He quickly dove into the water, swimming down to a spot where he knew was filled with lots of other colorful and pretty shells. "A sinistrofulgur..wentletrap, pink murex.." The young male went on and on getting the prettiest shells he can get into his small hands.
Once he got enough he swam back up into the surface. He was nervous to be seen by the small human boy, who was now in tears.
Once seeing that, the feeling of nervousness and fear faded away. He was determined to get the boy smiling again. He used what he taught himself with his powers; he slowly made the shells float up and got them into a bubble.
He then softly blew on it, making it float towards the crying boy. Once the shiny bubble appeared in front of the small human boy, the siren hid back behind his rock, peeking only slightly.
The human boy looked up with his teary eyes, rubbing one of them with his small fist. His crying subsided, only hiccuping a little. He stared at the bubble with curious eyes, he sniffled softly, trying to see what was inside.
His head tilted slightly, as he didn't know exactly what to do.
The siren behind the rock bit on his lip nervously. 'Maybe he doesn't like it..' The siren thought. Until..
"Wow! So pretty!"
The human boy managed to figure it out, and just popped the bubble. Once that was done, the shells fell at his feet. He quickly grabbed the colorful shells before the wave could come and take them away. His bright gummy smile appeared on his face as he grew excited over the shells.
The siren smiled to himself, happy that he made him smile. Feeling content, he was about ready to leave, until the ocean suddenly grew aggressive; making him bump into the rock harshly and making the young siren groan slightly in pain. Then without his concent, the wave took his body, taking him towards the shore, landing in front of the human boy.
He didn't realize it until he saw two human feet sitting right in front of his face. He gasped in shock as he looked up to see another surprised looking face.
"I-I-"
"Are you okay?"
"Huh?" The young human boys' face softened, then turned to one of worry.
"Y-your bleeding!" He exclaimed. Once again, the siren was confused until he looked down at his arm.
"O-oh...don't worry it'll heal.." He said nervously. He was confused and scared at the same time about the fact that the boy was so calm. He didn't scream, didn't grow afraid, didn't run...the only thing he got was 'are you okay?'
He was a siren after all.
"Oh really?" The little human looked with wonder at the wound, the wound that was now healing little by little until it closed up. "Wow, thats really cool!" He said giving the siren a big smile.
A smile that made his cheeks burn. He began to blush.
"Um..thanks I guess.." Hes never gotten compliments like this, he wasn't used too it at all. Obviously.
"Also...seeing as you can do that, did you make the bubble? With the shells inside?"
The young siren avoided eye contact once the question was asked. He gave a soft nod.
"You're amazing!" That alone made his heart beat fast. What was wrong with him all of a sudden?
"Its no problem at all...seeing as you got sad when you lost your shells and-" he kept mumbling a little until he got interrupted.
"Im yoongi by the way..Min yoongi. Whats your name?" The young boy asked stretching out his small hand for a handshake, along with giving him his best gummy smile.
The siren stared at it for a while until he sat up as best as he could with his tale and all. Streching out his own hand to hold onto the human boys' hand, "My names Jungkook..Jeon Jungkook." He too gave a small shy smile in return.
