Chapter 12: The Plan
Sapphire's POV
I woke up and stood up. "I know where she is." I breathed as I looked at them.
They all nodded and waited for my instructions and for what I had to say.
We ran for exactly an hour and a half to the north.
"There." I pointed at the white pack house.
"How're we going to get inside?" May asked while we hide behind a tree.
"There are 5 guards, 2 in front and 1 in each side." They all nodded. "If we take out the one in the back the others won't notice us." they looked at each other before nodding at me and then we head to the back of the house.
Few minutes later the guard was there. Aiden went and did some paralyzing spell. When the guard was down we climbed the wall and landed on the grass. "What now?" Aiden asked.
I gathered up everyone and formed a circle. "I know where her cell is but we need to be extra careful to get there since we would be passing by the office where the would be having a meeting which I think is happening right now. Everyone with a high rank would be there and since we came by ourselves I suggest that we avoid fights." They all nodded in agreement before I looked at May. "May, we would go with you until we've passed the office, after that you would need to go with Aiden to protect you if you were to run into a pack member."
"But what about you and Xander?" She asked while breathing deeply, worrying what we would be doing while they were away.
I smiled reassuringly before I held her hand. "We would only be on the look out for those who would leave the office. When you get to Casey I need you to take her and run until you're safe from this place. We will be here until you get here out of there."
Hesitating, she shook her head multiple times before standing up. "Okay, I'll do it." She breathed and looked at Aiden. "But you would buy me 10 gallons of cookies and cream ice cream after this." She didn't mean it in a bad way since I could tell that she was only trying to ease up the tension. That was how she always was. She would bring out the good in every bad situation.
Aiden smiled and nodded as an agreement and a thank you.
And so we started to move. Along the way, I instructed them on where they would find Casey's cell. I only needed to explain it once since it didn't have that many turns which means that they wouldn't even get lost.
"We need to move now!" An echo of a man's voice boomed out from a door, giving us the idea that it was the office where they were holding the meeting.
We slowly ran past it and turned.
Xander and I ducked down and breathed heavily. He watched the door without even glancing away to ensure that we wouldn't miss it when someone walks out.
"Go." I signaled before the two of them started their way towards their cell.
When they were out of sight, I turned my head towards the office door while trying to calm myself down, making me hear the muffled voices of the people inside.
"We don't need to rush things. We already have the girl here. Sooner or later the Goddess would come running for her friend."
"But are we sure that we don't need to kill her?"
"You fucking moron. That would just enraged the goddess. Do you want to get killed before we even have the fight?"
"No."
"Then shut the fuck up."
"Can't we at least torture the girl? I'm feeling a bit hyped up from all of this."
"Well the goddess wouldn't even be able to see her when we've capture her. But we need to return her to the Palace too. Let them consider her life as a gift."
They started laughing but not for long when someone with a different voice spoke.
"I've already given her the damage that would last forever." He chuckled. "I could only guess if she could still have children after what I did."
"What??" I whispered as I started to hyperventilate. "What did they do to her?"
"Sapphire you need to calm down." Xander grabbed my hand and squeezed it gently while still looking at the hallway. "May and Aiden are on their way there. We'll figure things out after we get out of here. Remember the plan Sapphire. We're only here for her. We can't start a fight now. Not while Casey's still here."
My eyes widened with rage as I stood up, my vision already turning black as I could only imagine how they hurt her.
"They tortured Casey." I breathed. "They tortured my best friend because of... me..." I said with a more loud voice.
Xander shushed me before he stood up and held both of my arms. "Sapphire, don't."
"Xander, you heard him... You heard every word." My body was shaking with fear and anger.
"I know. But starting a fight wouldn't solve anything. Let's just get her out for now and after that I would let you kill every last one of them, okay?"
It was too much.
It was all too much.
"No."
