Chapter 3: Andrea
Andrea is a beauty in the Academy. She has a cute round eyes, long nose and white complexion. She has a very fragile and delicate appearance. A lot of guys in the class admires her. Unlike kristine, she isn't tall. In fact she is just below Kristine's chin which adds to her lady-like appearance.
Even though she has a frail looking body. She also has a very venomous tongue. She only shows this though to Kristine and her closest group of friends.
She approached Kristine.
"And the walking uniform arrives!" She is referring to kristine whose dark complexion makes it look like she could be a walking uniform if placed at night. Even though Kristine's complexion isn't that
Dark as they say it is.
As kristine heard this insult, she just looked down from the embarrassment. Andrea saw this timid expression and was satisfied. Instead of stopping she added, "Im really amazed by you..." clearly pausing to look at how kristine would respond. Kristine looked up confused and as soon as she met her eyes, Andrea continued, " I really cant imagine how a woman can look just like a man on a broad daylight." This statement made the other classmates who were secretly listening to chuckle.
In their perspective, these statements were just harmless humor so they didn't really pay attention to Andrea's attitude. Instead, they even praise her for being funny.
To hide her true colors, Andrea didn't fail to laugh in the end and put her hand on Kristine's shoulder as she kept telling her that it was merely a joke.
"Don't be angry. It was just a joke. If you get angry, it would seem that what I am saying is true."
People took that as a que and laughed. They looked at kristine and couldn't help to agree on Andrea's words.
Kristine just chuckled with andrea because she knows that Andrea would give a harsher remarks if she didn't go along or that people would bash her for taking a mere joke so serious.
She felt sad and embarassed so she hurriedly took a sit and looked down at her notebook while having a fake smile on her face. Making it look like she was unaffected by their seemingly harmless jokes.
As soon as the little show was over, people started taking their sits as well throwing remarks to Kristine that she was the best on making them laugh thus making them feel better.
Although it was seen as a joke, it was a facade of bullying. Sad to say, Kristine justified their action by telling herself that she was doing something good by making her classmate feel good even though she was being the laughingstock.
And although it would seem like Kristine didnt take it personally and just showed a smile towards her classmates direction, it didnt stop her from mentally taking notes on what she doesnt like about herself.
A list that was too long on her mind and too long to shatter her self-confidence....
