Chapter 24: Back Home
When Grace and Jolin arrived home, everyone was surprised to see them before their scheduled visit. Their families only had a day to come together and celebrate their safe return. It was thanks to one of the waiting family soldiers in one of the towns closest to the Pre-camp that they found out about their early return. That soldier had to hurry back as soon as possible when he got the news from the instructors and notice that Jolin and grace would need to be safely transported back home.
The Falanders and Jaquins got together and prepared a feast to welcome them as a team.
On one of the tables sat Jolins Father Joe Jaquin with Grace's father and other important family like an a grandparent etc. Jolin and Grace spoke about some of their experiences and obstacles they had to face. They talked about how happy they were to be able to land in the same team. This was especially nice because they knew they could trust each other and build from then on. They also talked about the mysterious Mal and mark from Tycoon city. At the mention of Mark Goodman, the family was shocked. They had heard about these family names and started asking questions about them. They were relieved to know that Mark and Mal weren't like their fathers or grandparents.
They knew Tycoon city was mainly a business city but with some old traditions that were hard to break. what the irony that was. They were happy to hear they respected grace, even if she was a women. Here in Tipodia, they had women warriors and women in various industries. It was one of the main contributors of power to the army in dire situations.
It was important for every woman to be able to at least defend themselves and respect was taught early on. Even if not a lot of the women were as strong as grace or others, they could all hold their own. They weren't too worried about grace because they knew she was amazing but they were still glad she wasn't treated weirdly by the Tycoon city guys.
They were excited to know they had a very strong team but also a little concerned that it was still two tycoon city teammates with important families. They wondered if Mal and Mark had also deliberately banded together to have a stronger pull for their side. After all, it was kind of what Jolin and grace were pulling. However, if any of their families ever needed something, it was good to know that their kids had a good relationship with people from there. You never knew when you would need to have a friend somewhere else. Especially if issues in the business world arise. They were just so different, but the beauty of it all is that they meshed together.
They continued talking about the challenges and training they had to do. They were excited to finally start practicing in teams since their individual training had been going well. They would gain a lot more experience from these experienced team instructors. After all, they had been training the self for a while, or by their family. It was the nee, innovative, and secret team techniques they were hoping to get from this camp.
Since they were at the elders or leader table, they mentioned that they discovered that at least one of their teammates had a General house ring. They would learn how to use those for the better of the team and how that increased the number of missions they could be assigned to. Jolin and grace would definitely be wearing theirs. They spoke and other interesting things. Jolin of course had her own suspicions about the other beautiful house ring since he had peeked once to see the Fae's house Rings treasure room. There was one that was a bit different but even more special. He could only winder and decided to wait to talk about it.
**** At the Anew House***
Mal was met halfway by their trusted family physician who knew of the secret. It had been very hard for Mal to get treated at the camp and insisted "he" could only trust his family's doctor before he found someone "worthy" as his life had been put in danger. Therefore, on the way back home he was immediately treated by that physician.
Mal also got better very quickly because he was family able to use her SHR to change body back and forth and increase the speed of healing by an amazing rate. It helped a lot that she had not been changing a lot and had been focusing on her self, this made the healing energy transfer to her body very effective.
The doctor only had to check that everything was healing fine and didn't need to do much, other than pretend it was thanks to him that she was doing amazing or at least make everyone think that her injuries had not been that serious. Therefore, nobody back home would be shocked at the miraculous recovery or the fast pace of her healing.
She spent time with her parents and was happy she would be able to come back quickly. Five days would verily be enough for her and would probably be tested further back at camp but knew she would be accepted back. She spoke to her mom about Grace and how she could trust her. She was just nervous about Mark Goodman because he was from Tycoon city too. However, she told told them that she felt she could trust him because he wasn't like his father or grandfather. In fact he wanted to sort of isolate himself from that family.
***Mark Goodman***
The Goodman's were happy to find out that Mark was teammates with Mal Anew. They knew the Anews had recently started to consolidate their power and were becoming stable again. This meant cooperation would be beneficial between them both so that they could conquer the city together and oppress the other companies and families. They also had always wanted to join this old and powerful family of the Anews. It was that due to the power struggle, there had been no good time to talk strategy. Now that they secretly found out about the named heir, they now could start making plans. Therefore, Marks family was happy to know he would be close friends with one of the suspected male heirs. They were thrilled. Also they could probably convince their team to help them protect their interest or accept a mission to protect major important shipping containers full of valuables. They knew that mark and Mal would definitely join and wouldn't bail on their family's interest. This would increase the safety and credibility of products; thereby, increasing the price for their services or products.
Mark hid the fact that two teammates were very close previously and that not only were they also from Tipodia but that one of them was a girl. Every time he talked about grace, he would either refer to her as a warrior or by her last name. Marks family may have money to hire guards etc, but didn't posses a loyal or well trained army at their disposal. Therefore, they were more than happy with the potential well trained army from these families that could help them protect their assets at home or away.
