Chapter 15: G: The Ceremonial Bath
Mal was shacking. In the past hour, she thought she was dying, then found out she was chosen by this thing called a Special House Ring and now she was going to be discovered. She had been immediately let by two Special guards to the ceremonial site and giving the special bathrobe. Mal was panicking as she clearly knew who she was. She also didn't want to be found out by her her uncles and grandfather. She also couldn't reject the position and pass it on to her baby brother as the ring had chosen her. She was both blessed and damned she though. She saw no way out other than stating the fact and hope that because the ring chose her, that her grandfather not kill her.
Just as she was debating on what to do, she instinctively touched her private part. She was so confused as it felt, weird and different. She immediately undressed and was almost shocked to death. Her body wasn't her body yet it was! Of course she had always lacked in the front department as she trained hard and there was no fat in her body. She had muscles everywhere as she trained hard to be as strong as a man, however her private part never changed. What she saw now was not what she knew. He immediately looked at her ring, where the green band appeared again and seem to overtake the red velvetti color of her ring. She looked at her part again and almost fainted. She had never seen it but she knew what this meant. She was a freakin boy. The only culprit, the ring!
She didn't know how long she would keep the part or if she could change back but she needed to hurry up and get this bath done with. So Mal changed at quickly and came out looking proud and standing tall. Her dad looked like he would throw up and John just smirked. Her dad was about to get up and spill the truth when she stared him down and told him to sit down. It was an order and she then pointed at her finger with the ring and told him and his uncles they all needed to start respecting him and would only bow down to them this one time. She proceeded to un-robe himself and his dad closed his eyes as he was being held down by John. To John's surprise, what they saw was a most magnificent body. Unquestionably a Mans body, even though Mal was suppose to be 13, it sure didn't look like it down there. John dropped down and fainted, ignacious couldn't be prouder, and Marko's younger brother pushed him and asked him if he could be the first to wash his sons body. Marko couldn't help but open his eyes and look confused at the son in front of him. He was speechless and couldn't talk.
Mal: " No uncle, while you may be my favorite uncle, I want my father to be the first to wash my back." He then proceeded to quickly cover his part and sat down on the seat. Heck, she also needed to sit down because she was also internally shacking at the whole situation.
Marko finally got up and started washing his back and then pronounced some words and passed the special soap to his youngest brother. Once everyone was done, Ignacious was happy and declared that all traditions had been upheld and that he was officially naming Mal as the future leader of the house even though he was not dying yet and that Marko could rule meanwhile Mal grew up some more.
This was how Mal Anew successfully passed one of the hardest test she had the displeasure to have taken so far. Mal coughed and then hurriedly went back inside to change when she felt her ring heating up. Sure enough once she saw the Velvet color overtaking the green she was both happy and scared. Sure enough she returned to her previous state and was a girl again. Perhaps she was unable to control the power yet.
She asked for her father and explained everything inside. He helped take her home because her original body was still recovering from the former ordeal and every time she "change," she felt like dying. Her mind would explode, her inside felt like they were turning over, she was weak as a baby, and would lose energy. She really hoped this wouldn't be every time. She was allowed to leave with her dad to rest and the in the afternoon a ceremony would be held in Mal's honor. As soon as they got to Mal's room her mom was laying there, but was brought back to life as soon as they explained the miraculous events.
She had always wanted one of her twin siblings to be the lords because she wanted to be free. Now with this she could pass freely but she still wanted to be herself. She had a lot of reading to do but little did she know that one of her uncles had signed her up to go to a special training camp where he had hoped to get rid of him. When she found out about this she was angry and also optimistic because she could finally find some allies who wouldn't judge her, well there was also the problem of hiding her secret. Hopefully she could come out to them and leave the ruling to her twin siblings. Of course, not before abolishing the rule of a female leader, because she hoped this would never happen again, and that this old and useless rule would be finally abandoned by his family and that they would be more "modern thinking" like the other cities had evolved. She was excited to meet and form bonds with people, and explore the world. First she would need to practice her powers and how to best use it. One thing she knew, once she could go through the change without getting weak, she could use her power to regain strength in battle because she would "change body" and regain strength. However, she wasn't about to give up her female body, because that was who she was, and would continue to work on her original body and train herself up. There was still a lot of things she didn't know and needed to.
