Chapter 12: Forging the Demi-Holy Spear, Lacrista!
It had been another year since then, other than the time spent playing around, everything went into his puppet and Runes research. While he hadn't made any progress on jumpstarting his sex drive, he had finished several DDR Puppets which were at the clan castle being put to use by the younger generation. He had even sold some to the other clans and the two empires of Da Xia and Tian Luo. Though that wasn't what he was excited about at the moment. He had finalized the plans for his new spear, one that should last him several years without needing to upgrade. He had gather all the materials needed for it and they were all at least Platinum grade materials.
He started with the shaft which was made from Millennium Palm Core Wood, Ebony Oak Wood and bound in Azure Snake Bamboo Fibers. The shafts durability and flexibility were without equal, of course the Cavern Dragon Heartstrings used for binding the head were even better than those three materials, the amount of it was lacking however. The processing, strengthening and enchanting of the materials took five months alone.
Then came the spearhead, an alloy metal born from Star Silver Metal Essence and Evil Ghost Iron, with powdered dragon horns, claws and crystal mixed in the process took three months before a perfect spearhead was ready to attach to the shaft. Using both the dragon heartstrings and a glue made from several Platinum rank crystals, the base of the spear was finally complete.
Yue Yang only had two more tasks to finish before his new spear was done and he worked diligently to create the 9 Elemental Spheres out of Beast crystals and precious hard stones. After they were each complete he spent a month processing each to perfection and finally he began to mark them all with Runes. The Runes were similar to what was used for the DDR orbs, but far more complex. Yue Yang was completely focused as he engraved these Runes with slight variations on each sphere based on its element before linking them all to the spear as the control unit. When he had finished he smiled brightly before sending a bit of Qi into the spear.
As if a beast was awakening, the spear hummed and shook in his hand and the spheres all gathered and floated around him. The expected box appeared asking him to name the weapon. Yue Yang thought for a short while before deciding on 'Lacrista'. After he confirmed the name a golden pillar of light shot out from the spear and the orbs, causing the ID to shake under the power it was releasing. Yue Yang himself was stunned, having never seen an item he created do this he just held on to the shaking spear until the light vanished and the trembling stopped. He took a deep breath before using Observe on the weapon.

Yue Yang changed to the zombie ID to give the spear a quick test run, the result? It performed better than he could have imagined. A single wave would send an air blade flying nearly a hundred meters and when using the spheres, their movements were superb and when he used a sphere to channel his spear Qi? The destruction he could cause left him speechless. Each sphere was a reusable bomb. The power of the item he created shocked him, even though it wasn't a Holy Weapon yet, it was close enough that in his hands there was no difference. He sighed as he put away the spear and returned to his workshop. The time he had spent working on his spear could have been saved if he had the Nirvana Flame, however he wasn't bothered by it. The increase to his skills from creating it almost guaranteed if he tried to make another Lacrista it would already be a holy weapon. He decided to do something less constructive and prepare for Bing'er's eighth birthday. He prepared several Bronze Ranked defensive equipments for her as well as several dresses made from Honeydew Spider Silk. He couldn't let one of his targets go out into the world unprepared now could he? Since he'd decided to take a break he spent all the time he could with Bing'er and Ah Xian.
