Ibis blinked. One second they were staring into each other's eyes the next Loretto had landed a passionate kiss on her lips.
In her surprise Ibis had accidentally bitten his lower lip. Tasting his blood Ibis felt a slight sense of arousal. She kissed back.
They both continued to kiss passionately until they both ran out of breath. Even then they ended reluctantly.
Vincent who had been staring at them had his jaw hanging open. Never had he seen Loretto make the first move. Especially one so passionate. The Loretto he knew was cold and detached. Did hell freeze over?
They probably used tongue! This was so unfair! Where was his immediate wife!
Looking back towards them he noticed that they were sitting an awkward silence. Using his amazing wingman skills Vincent broke the ice, "So this kingdom of yours... where is it?"
Snapping out of her daze Ibis searched for the right words, "Ugh... here is a short run through. Because this is such a sacred ceremony several eyes need to witness who finds me first.... So we are in it. A conjured up arena below it, to be exact."
Loretto wanted to face palm. He should have noticed the decline in his path earlier. When he kept on hitting trees he should have noticed that all along he was heading deeper and deeper underground. That is why it got so completely dark, so quickly.
He cast a glance at Vincent, who had a dejected face. "No need to be glum..... Why are you glum?"
Vincent looked at Loretto and Ibis in such a dispirited way that Ibis wanted to cuddle and pamper him until the day she dropped dead.
"It's because you want and got yourself a wife, while I'm still single!" Vincent whined.
'Never mind' Ibis thought.
Letting out a warm laugh Loretto got up. Reaching his hand out to let his wifey do the same he said, "Lead the way."
Giving a low bow she replied, "Of course, Goblin Lord."
"Please don't call me that, " Loretto said has he took Ibis' hand, "We are married aren't we?"
"That we are. Well then, of course....hubby."
Rolling his eyes Vincent got up to follow the two love birds, " Now that you went and got yourself a wife, I've been given the label of chopped liver. "
