Chapter 117: Enjoying the Night
Their chit chats and laughing continued even after their meals. All of a sudden, Michael took some courage and stood up in front of everyone.
"Excuse me Titas and Titos. Sorry to interrupt, but I just formally inform everyone that I love KM and I'm officially wooing her." Michael with loving smile.
KM's heart skip a bit and her face started to blush. "How dare this Michael took courage to inform everyone of his love for her and his intention of wooing her. Shameless!" she thought to herself. But deep inside her heart there's a some leap of joy that she couldn't understand herself.
Everyone was taken a back but Greg quickly gained to his senses and teased, "That's the man! Not being ashamed to tell everyone about the woman he loves. Karl and Mj, you will soon have your son in law soon. He he he he."
"Wow, big bro, I will soon have sister in law soon," teased Jiana.
While each of their parents just smiled and waiting for the continuition of Michael's declaration of his love towards KM.
"She has not given me her answer yet, but I'll continue to pursue her. In leiu of this, I want to date her and bring her to a nice safe place. Me and her alone. But we will come back soon after I have shown her something. Will you permit us Aunt Mj and Uncle Karl?"
"Hmmm, as long as you will keep her safe. Don't betray our trust on you, Michael." Karl replied. While Mj just nodded.
"Thanks Uncle Karl, Aunt Mj. Rest assured she will be safe with me," assured Michael.
While KM was just dumbfounded. "What, I haven't even agreed to him yet, and he already got my parents' permission? The nerve of this guy!" in her thoughts she protested but couldn't voice it out for in her heart, she felt somewhat confusingly thrilled.
"Let's go!" Michael held KM's hand with his left hand. And KM just helplessly nodded.
At this, Michael took something from his right pocket. Something that looked like a celphone but it's not. Rather, it's some kind of a gadget that has touch screen and tapped some buttons and it, and then they disappeared from the presence of everyone.
Everyone was shocked and astonished at their sudden disappearance, but then Mom Ja explained, "Everyone, don't worry, their disappearance were part of Michael's teleporting gadget he invented. And before you know it, they will be back soon."
"I see. Okay then, let's continue our reunion here then." Karl released a small sigh and curved his lips into a smile.
"Okay," chorused everyone.
"Cheers for our undying friendships." Greg raised his glass as a cue to toast.
"Cheers!" everyone raised and clinked their glasses together agreeing.
And they all enjoyed their night. While their younger kids proceeded to play at the virtual reality room, and they too were enjoying it all.
Meanwhile, Michael and KM arrived at the rooftop garden where at the end corner was the 3D telescope.
KM, not wanting to expose that she already have had seen it, just follow through silently where Michael's hand was leading her. But her eyes could not hide her worried look.
So when Michael saw her eyes with a worried look, he gently assured her, "I know you have seen it already last night with the other guy, but you ain't have seen much of it yet. There's more to it that I'm gonna show to you." Michael calmly smiled at her.
"H-how did you know, that I have already seen it with another guy? Are you stalking me?" KM was flabbergasted.
"No, not really. I was checking on it via sattelite to see if it's ready and functional for I'm gonna show it to you tonight. Initially, I didn't know, that he would show it to you ahead of me..." Michael's eyes turned a bit sad but he was trying to hide his sadness from her.
"So, you have accidentally watched us all throughout our date here?" KM looked directly at Michael's eyes trying to figure out Michael's inner reaction.
"Hmmm, well, accidentally, yes." Michael admitted trying to smile but have a sad looking eyes.
"So, how did you feel then?" KM still looking directly at his eyes trying to read his inner feelings.
"I felt hurt, yes. But like you said when you challenged me, may the best man win, right? And right now, I am doing my best to make you fall for me instead of the other men, you are having dates with." Michael sounded like trying to cheer himself up.
"Oh, I see. You're still up to my challenge then. That's good then." KM felt relieved.
"Yeah, why not? You know that I have loved you for 15 years, I could not give up on you just as easy as that!" re-assured Michael.
"Okay then. So what else do we have here in the 3D telescope that I have not seen yet?" KM queried.
