Chapter 107: TGIF
Friday then came and as it was already scheduled, tonight will be her date with Rain.
For some reasons she don't know why, she seem so excited to have a date with Rain, and she's actually looking forward for it to happen. It's like TGIF (Thank God It's Friday) sort of feeling, she's feeling today.
She can't even help but to be curious of what's it's gonna be like, to date with him, and what did he prepare for their date then. She actually wants to even call him and ask the whereabouts of their date, but, since she was told days back that it is a surprise, so she held her own curiousity on herself then, and just waited for him to pick her up.
While she was still in her deep thoughts, suddenly her phone rang... specifically, a videocall... and it was from Rain himself. She then answered his call...
"Hello, KM, I'm confirming our date tonight. I'll pick you up at 6p.m. then, okay?" Rain smiled.
"Okay, but where will we be having our date then? I need to know so I will have an idea on what should I wear that would suit for the place and ocassion then." KM queried.
"Ok, I'll give you a clue then. Don't wear formal attire. Instead wear something sporty, coz we will play on a game."
"Sporty? Like shirts, leggings and sneakers will do?"
"Perfect! Wear what you just said, and what's comfortable for you then."
"Okay, then. Thanks." KM smiled.
"So see you at 6p.m. at your house then." Rain with sparkling excited eyes.
"Yeah. See you." KM unknowingly sparkled her eyes too as she smiled back. But Rain had noticed it, and he said to himself, "It's TGIF indeed!" as he curved his lips into a wider smiles.
At exactly 6p.m., Rain is already at KM's gate. Their guard then contacted KM and guided him in to their front door. While KM was just done talking to her Mom.
And before Rain could knock on the door, KM pushed the button of the remote control to open the door, and the door opened...
As soon as the door opened, Rain saw KM smiling at him. And beside her was like a 40 year old woman whom he thought KM's mom.
"Hello, KM. Good evening. Good evening too, M-madame!" Rain smiled not knowing how to react with the presence of KM's mother.
"Good evening too Rain. Meet my Mom Mj." KM then turned her face to her mom to introduce Rain to her, "And Mom, this is Rain, my date for tonight."
"Hello Rain. I've heard so much about you." Mom Mj extends her hand to Rain as a handshake.
"Hello, Madame, pleased to meet you." Rain extended his hand to handshake mom Mj.
"Rain, you take good care of my daughter, and bring her back home before midnight, okay?"
"Yes madame, don't you worry. I assure you, she's in good hands. And I promise to bring her back before midnight." Rain confirmed.
"Mom, don't worry, Rain is harmless. Besides, I got my bodyguards with me just in case..." KM intentionally didn't finish her sentence, then curved her lips into a smile assuring her Mom for her safety.
"Okay then. Take care and enjoy your date and be back before, midnight okay?" Mom Mj kissed KM's forehead and bid her byes.
"Yes Mom, we will be back by then." KM hugged her Mom quick, bid her byes and proceeded to anchor her left arm into Rain's right forearm and went to ride on his car, while her bodyguards were riding on the limo following Rain's car closely.
While Rain was driving his car with KM beside him, he glanced quick at KM and complimented her, "You look wonderful tonight, KM!"
"What, even in my simple sporty attire?" KM in a stunned tone.
"Yes, whatever you wear, whether it would be simple or grand, you're simply beautiful!" Rain complimented with a sparkling eyes and smiles.
"Whether I'm wearing simple or grand... why, have you seen me wearing grand, then?" KM verified.
"Yeah, on the TV, during one of your performances." Honestly revealed Rain.
"So you knew that I'm a celebrity ha?"
"Who won't? You're so famous. Your Dad was the world's famous rock star, and you're following his footsteps and became famous too. I didn't even think you would agree to have a date with me, to begin with. I was just trying my luck and my persistence."
"Your luck and your persistence ha? Hmm... let's see. You emailed me and I responded to your email. Then we chatted on the messenger and asked me to have a date with you and I said wait for my decision the next day. Hmm, you might be correct in your persistence, but I disagree on your luck. It was never on your luck to begin with, since I had to decide for it." KM glanced at Rain while recalling how they have met and then now is having their date.
"Okay, you're right, it's not my luck, but my persistence then. I stand corrected," agreed Rain glancing quick at KM while continued driving.
