Chapter 69: Flashbacks (Part 5)
After Kevin died, his lawyer realeased to Mj his last will and testament as the sole heir of Kevin's properties and wealth.
Mj, having found out that Karl left her too after knowing her marriage to Kevin, and after Kevin's death she was flabbergasted and in great grief.
She remembered her Dad Bart, times like this, she could have confided with her Dad, if only he is not dead. But her Dad died already. And she missed him so much!
She remembered her Dad often sings to her in the videoke the song "My Love Will See You Through". She didn't understand it much then, but now she realized the true deeper meaning of it. And that is: that her Dad's love to her will see her through specially during her tough times like she is experiencing right now. She then started to sing the song....

While singing it, tears kept flowing from her eyes too. How she wished her Dad will be there in front of her singing the song to her, like ever before. How she wished he's there to comfort her, giving her some hug. How she wished she can still cry on his shoulders. But could not! She has to accept it by heart that her Dad has already gone. For only his memories with her can remain.
After some time of reminiscing her Dad's memories, she remembered Ja, her BFF, who is now married and is living and working at New Zealand. She missed her bestfriend too. Times like this, she needed Ja the most.
A big decision she has come up and have made.
She can't stay here in Belgium for so long, eventhough she inherited Kevin's wealth, she can't stay. For too much of painful memories that she have in this country.
Kevin's death has affected her so much, added also that Karl left her. If she stays here in this country, she might breakdown herself without any help from this foreign country.
She has to leave this country too, but wouldn't want to go back to her own country Philippines since she have had bad memories there too.
Memories of her Dad's death. Memories of her Mom Mione using her name and money to pay her debts which Mj really never wanted to, but because she pitied her Mom, she's persuaded to have paid it all. And all the other memories, both good and bad she had in her country that she didn't want to recall it all nor be reminded of it all.
So she has decided to go to New Zealand where Ja her BFF is there.
Migrating in another country might help her recover then.
She then tapped her phone to start a video call with Ja.
"Ja, can I come to you in New Zealand?"
"Yes of course. But when?"
"Right now, I will book my ticket in going there. Just give me specific directions, address, name of the airport and so on"
"Are you serious?" Ja, protested.
"Look clearly at my face and see for yourself, if I'm serious or not!" pouted Mj.
"I see, you are really serious." while watching MJ closely.
"I need you my friend! I just needed a way out from all these predicament I am experiencing.I'll tell you the details, once I'm there with you."
"Okay, see you then". ...
Needless to say, the next days , she's there in New Zealand then with Ja and her family.
She have lived with them for 2 great years. For not only, she have recovered quick, she also managed to land a good and high-paying job, being the female administrator of the New Zealand Embassy.
