Chapter 2: Stranger Things Have Happened
Back in Heiso Town, Rin and Hibiki arrive home, safe and sound. Yet, they felt defeated, the lead they had gotten turned out to be a dud, they spent a good three hours in Worth Woodsea for nothing and now they were both all sweaty and muddy from the humidity there. After returning to the guild hall, where they were warmly greeted by most of the guild members present, there was one who stayed silent as he coldly gazed at Rin upon her entrance, or at least there should have been. The guild's rare "lone wolf" Adrien seemed to be absent from the guild hall when Rin got back. Almost like clockwork, he was always around, always staring at Rin with a scowl of sorts plastered on his face. It felt a bit weird not seeing him. However, the guild master had no time to worry about Adrien Fionn, she needed to get cleaned up. Rin headed straight for the guild's bathhouse, not thinking of much else besides taking a nice long bath. She disrobed in the changing room, wrapped an aqua blue bath towel around herself and headed in to get washed up.
She sat on a stool in front of one of the many shower heads to wash off the sweat stuck to her skin. She then shampooed her long aqua blue hair then washed her fair white skin before rinsing herself off with the cool water that came from the shower head. She then got up to enter the baths. Just as she was about to climb in, she heard the door to the baths slide open, expecting to see another girl. Rin was sorely mistaken. It was the one person she noticed missing from the guild hall, Adrien. Before giving him the chance to react or explain himself. Rin dived into the bath to cover herself up. "What in hell are you doing in here you pervert?!" She hadn't been wearing her towel when he came in so he certainly had gotten an eyeful of the guild's number one beauty. His tanned face was flushed pink. "I'm not a pervert but I didn't know you were in here Rin. I swear..."
Rin had thought it over and remembered the bathhouse was coed, it was Demyx's idea when he founded the guild. She calmed down a bit after thinking things through. Though her next question was; "How come you're being so familiar with me? All you ever do is glare at me whenever you're in the guild hall." She was suspicious of his sudden familiarity with her. Yet, Adrien seemed confused. He let out a sigh before responding. "Look, I know it's been a long time but how can you seriously forget about me? Then again, you did have a tendency to be an airhead, guess some thing's never changed." She took offense to his off-hand comment.
"Who are you calling an air-head?! You're being pretty rude here. I'm not the one who barged in on you naked and acted familiar with you!!" She hissed at him. He just shook his head while chuckling softly. The situation became even more confusing. "I know I tanned and my body and voice changed but how can you not recognize me? Even though when I left, you wouldn't stop crying and begging me not to go." Adrien said with a slight smirk. It then dawned on her. How could she have not realized it sooner?
Rin felt nostalgic, she recalled a time from her childhood, before Demyx went missing. There was a boy who she often played with. He'd been labeled a monster by the locals for being a half-demon. Demyx took him in and raised him as a companion and brother for Rin. Eventually, the boy had to leave and Rin didn't know when or if she'd ever see him again. That boy was Rin's first love and now here he was, a member of the guild her father had founded. I guess stranger things have happened.

She was adopted by the storm demon known as Demyx when she was on the verge of dying at a young age. She wishes to be reunited with him no matter how much time goes by.
