Chapter 5: KIDS BORN BY THE EFFECT OF MANGO
King and his four friends who are minister, priest, merchant and artist felt the happiest when they had a son each. They named their kids as Vasant, Ram, Pravara, Samba and Danda respectively. When the kids were five year old, they were assigned a teacher to learn. Whatever that teacher knew, the kids grasped it in mere span of six months. In the next year, they mastered the art of acting. They learned grammar for three years and could already pick mistakes from the one who taught them. This way, they learned many things like war strategies, horse riding, archery and even black magic. They excelled at everything. They are the closest friends than their parents too.
King used to treat all the five kids with equal love and affection. They used to ride on horse the whole day. At the age of sixteen their parents wanted to marry these kids to suitable girls. They came to know of this and started discussing about it in a garden.
Ram : Friends. We learned a lot. But if we don't roam around the countries our studies would be ineffective. This is correct time to go out. What do you say?
Vasant: I think it is good decision. Once we get tied by the marriage we wouldn't be able to roam freely. Visiting various countries has been my wish for long.
Pravara : Why would I say no to you people. They say that a person who stays at his own place without moving is an idiot too.
Samba : Your age is making you think like this. Visiting the countries is not a small thing. You don't get to eat food on time. You can't sleep properly. Some even talk lowly of foreigners. You are prone to diseases too. Our prince can't handle all these problems. If we tell our parents about this tour, they would not let us go. If we go without telling them, they would feel sad.
Danda : Samba is talking like this because of his genetic cowardice. All these problems are for the people who does not have money. If we go out we can gain a lot of knowledge. We can earn some medicinal plants too. We may even get to see some beauties on the way and their smartness too. I can secure our lives. I think it is better to go around.
Samba : I am not talking with my genetic cowardice. I can be much adventurous than you. But the world is so big. The whole life won't be enough to see it. Everything does not happen as per our wishes. Anyway i can't say no to you people. As you say, we will go.
Vasant: Samba, What you said is true. Don't worry. We will take lot of money with us.
Ram : He likes to come but he is hesitating since his dad was planning to marry him, he is hesitating. He wants to marry soon.
Pravara : Won't we get any woman in our journey? We can just choose a girl we like on our journey.
Danda : All your wishes will be filled. We will marry angel like girls. Let's go.
Vasant : Alright. Since everyone agreed, set on a time to start journey.
Pravara : Tomorrow at 12 in the night, all of us will meet in the mango garden at the end of the town. Don't be late. Then we can go to west.
Danda : Every one bring precious gems and gold coins.
As per their plan, they met in the mango garden on horse backs. They went to west of the kingdom where there is no sight of any other human. The forest was thick and hard to pass through. They keep making way and moving forward. Danda is an artist and a doctor too. So he started collecting medicinal plants on the way.
Dawn broke. They stopped at a lake. "We came really far this night. Still we didn't reach the end of this forest. We read in our geography that there is sea at the end of this forest when we go to west of our kingdom. So we can rest assured that our people can't catch us since no one comes to this side. We will set to south from here. We will start after taking some rest."
They traveled one and half days when they saw a high raised building in the distance. It was noon time. "Here the forest is getting thinner. Crops are more visible.There are signs of humans. Looks like we reached a town."
"But there is not a single person in sight. We can see houses. It even looks like a capital. But why is there not a single soul in sight?"
"Who cares what it is? I secured our lives secretly. So, we wont die. " said Danda.
They got down their horses and started walking taking their horses with them. In that town, all houses and shops are closed. There are few people sleeping in verandas.
"Are these people nocturnal? Are they demons??" one asked being a little scared.
