Chapter 12: A Strange New World
"You Killed My Father!" Shouted a very Angry voice followed by a huge crash. "You killed everyone I love!" the voice added as a second crash echoed throughout the vast expanse of dessert.
"You're going to pay everything a hundred fold!" continuous sound of pounding echoed, each time much louder than the rest.
Suddenly another voice shouted "Supergirl!!" The pounding still continued. "Supergirl! That's Enough!" The voice added but the pounding just continued, much stronger and much faster than the last accompanied by screams of rage.
"Tsk...you leave me no choice!" A female with midnight black hair in a bat suit, clench a grenade launcher, she then grab a single green glowing grenade and reload it on the launcher.
She then take aim at the still raging Supergirl who was still punching a downed bloodied figure. "Forgive me Supergirl" she muttered while pulling the trigger.
The grenade flew hitting the blond woman and green smoke exploded forcing Supergirl to stop punching and start coughing.
"Who!? (cough!)" Supergirl shouted as she wheeze and cough.
Batwoman jump from her vantage point and landed in front of Supergirl. "Kara" Batwoman said walking closer to the downed kryptonian "It's finish, the war's over"
Supergirl still coughing decided to stand up but couldn't as the Kryptonite still hasn't been flush by her body so instead she look at the person who landed infront of her.
"We may have won but I lost everything!" she shouted. Batwoman look at her then kneeled, she then caress the crying womans face wiping a few droplets of tears just below her eyes and replied "I know how you feel Kara, I have also lost everything, my father, my mother and Alfred but we have to move on and prevent the darkness to swallow us"
Supergirl, who was now kneeling thanks to Batwoman responded "I ca-can't, I-I'm not sure how...."
Batwoman hug her and whispered "Do not worry, we will do it together....we will move on" She then look her in the eyes and gave her a smirk "besides you just killed a god, I'm pretty sure moving on would be a piece of cake"
Kara wipe the tears in her eyes and look at the cold corpse of Darkseid and said "Do you think, We could move on with nothing?"
"Yes we can, Yes We have to and we can start by going to another place" said Batwoman. She then showed her a small black box on her palm. "We can start with this"
Supergirl's eye widened as she saw the box and said "is this?..but how? I thought we lost it?" And then as if something clicked on her head, she uttered "t-that means I-I can see them again...."
Batwoman smiled "and I as well can see them again although we might not be able to approach them readily but with time, we can"
Supergirl nodded slowly and put her hands on the box and said with much determination "Yes we can."
Batwoman smiled before activating the box "set destination: Earth AM-1000"
Supergirl raised her left eyebrow before being swallowed by a boom tube, leaving their desolate planet behind.

The duo arrive at Metropolis park before hiding into an empty house.
After a while, the two now are wearing civilian attire which they borrowed from the owner of the house although they were kinda tight for both of them but it was enough for now.
Kara with the newly crescend name Karen Starr ask Helena aka Batwoman "Earth AM-1000?"
Helena shrugged and replied "It was the only place I can find that won't collapse and as well as early enough in the timeline where we can prevent things from happening"
Karen Starr nodded "so what's next?"
"I borrowed a few million from my dad, I'm hoping to just stay low for now and travel the world to see what differences does this world have compared to ours." Helena said.
Karen frowned and said "I-I wanted to stay close near my family for a bit"
Helena nodded with understanding before giving her a communication device. "Here then we can contact each other through this comm. Unit."
Karen look unto the device and then to Helena before hugging the woman "thank you"
Helena gave a wry smile as she suffered a super power hug "It's okay Kara besides with your power, we can easily meet as long as you have my tracer."
Karen nodded and let go of her, she watch Helena exit through the front door and watch as she took a taxi.
"So what now?" She said.
For a minute, she just stared at the ceiling without doing nothing.
"I need to have a plan" she said with resolve. "I can't just go to the farm and meet ma and pa, this would alert the justice league and they might lock me up for interrogation besides if I'm right they're still relatively new timeline wise and my arival might cost a shift in the league or worse broke them up."
She frowned "Superman might get suspicious with me but I know he will welcome another kryptonian with open arm as well as Diana, she would open up to a strong woman but the problem is Batman, he will be too much paranoid of another kryptonian"
Not coming into terms she turn to watch the news and her adoptive mother came on the news, she smiled reminiscing happy memories.

"Huh...that's kinda weird, I didn't know any Alex James Maximus back in my world and what's with the buzz?" She ask to no one.
She stood up from the couch and get to the nearest laptop, proceeding to forge her necessary documents "well, case in point I'll try and apply just because it intrigues me." She then took a look at Alex's picture and a smile grace the blond woman's face "besides He's not that bad looking"
