Chapter 30: Checking out the city
"So this is Tokyo eh."
"Sounds like its your first time visiting."
"It is."
Today was one of the days that Orochi had to cancel training due to meeting up with one of his old friends. Not wanting to waste his time at home Jun dragged his cousin out of bed and decided to explore the city.
"So where do you want to go?"
Decked out in brown shorts and a yellow t-shirt, Takeru had a tired look on his face as he planned to stay in bed all day due to his aching muscles.
Standing next to him was the handsome Jun who was wearing a plain white shirt, black hoodie, a dark blue backpack and blue jeans.
"Its my first time in Tokyo so how would I know where to go?" Jun retorted to Takeru's question.
Rolling his eyes Takeru looked at Jun. "Its the capital city! You must have some place you want to go!"
"Its my first time here!! How would I know where I want to go!" Jun argued back.
"So you've never planned to visit Tokyo before!" Takeru relentlessly retorted.
"I'm 6! I don't plan where I go."
Over the past week, the two boys had grown a lot closer and were comfortable enough to argue with each other over silly things such as this.
"Takeru, you suck as a tour guide." Jun sighed in disappointment much to Takeru's ire.
Not willing to be looked down upon by his cousin, he decided to take him to all the best spots that he knew... well the ones that would allow for two unaccompanied 6 year olds.

Boarding the train with Takeru, the Kusanagi cousins made their way to Japan's most moe region... Akihabara.
Taking in the spectacle, Jun breathed in a breath of fresh air as he took in his surroundings.
It was exactly as he pictured it in his past life, there were girls dressed in cute maid costumes handing out flyers to people in passing, a lot of anime themed stores and cafes.
"So this is Akihabara." He said with a twinkle in his eyes.
Takeru took it as a moment to make fun of his cousin.
"Getting excited just seeing the city... How childish." He scowled.
Not caring about Takeru's childish jokes, Jun ignored him and went on a shopping spree stuffing his bag with all sorts of trinkets, manga and anime. He even saw the legendary 18+ veil that stopped minor from entering into the promised land.
After calming down and reconvening with Takeru, the two walked around and visited various shrines and tourist sights.
At one point, the pair came across a small park where they could only see children playing. With nothing better to do the pair decided to check it out.
"You freak!"
"You're disgusting!"
"Its your fault that Tatsumi doesn't like me! Just go away!"
"No body likes you!"
As the two were going over, they heard a round of insults being thrown at someone. When they went closer to see what was going on they saw a group of girls around the same age as them picking on a small girl in a miko shrine outfit.
'She seems familiar...'
Unable to stand watching the girl being treated like that, Takeru stood in front of her with his arms spread out.
"Hey! Leave her alone!" He shouted at girls.
Seeing a boy defend the miko dressed girl only seemed to anger the girls even more.
"Why! Why does everyone defend him!"
"Yeah! He's just some cross dressing freak!"
"My mom told me to stay away from perverts like him but you're here defending him!"

Appearing in front of the girls like a phantom, Jun raised his hand up high and whipped it out like a slingshot.
The sound of his hand connecting with their faces echoed out as it took a moment for everyone to understand what had just happened.
The girls who were previously bullying the miko girl and arguing with Takeru slowly touched the area where Jun had slapped them. Feeling a sting of pain of the cheeks made the girls fall to their knees and burst into tears.
"Annoying."
Releasing his demonic aura he pressured the girls until they were to scared to cry any further.
'I hate brats.'
Kneeling down in front of the shivering girls, he placed his hand on the chin of the girl who seemed to be the ring leader and raised her head.
Putting on a gentle smile, his handsome looks sent a wave of terror down the spines of all the girls as they lost control of their bladders.
"Don't bully people, or I'll have to bully you." He said in a really gentle voice that didn't suit the aura emanating off of him.
Without any other alternative the girls madly nodded as their lips quivered.
Reining in his aura he pat the girl on her shoulder.
"You can go now." He said.
Not daring to waste time, the girls ran away as fast as they could with tears and snot decorating their faces.
"Don't you think you went a bit overboard?" Takeru asked seeing the states of the girls.
"Did I? Well it not like they can do anything about it." Shrugging his shoulders he walked past Takeru and held out his hand to the miko girl.
"You okay?" He asked.
Normally he wouldn't help out with such a thing, but due to him feeling good about his trip to Akihabara he decided that it would be okay to do a good deed.
"I-I'm okay." The girl took his hand but kept her head down.
Taking a closer look at the girl he realized that she was unbelievably cute! Like maybe even cuter than Daruku... Though it was weird that he thought that the cutest person that he knew was male... but as long as its cute its okay.
"So why were those girls picking on you?" He asked curious about the situation.
"T-The boy they like said I was prettier than them." She said shyly.
"Oh?!
'Well isn't that a first world problem.'
Smiling at the shy girl he patted her on the head in order to calm her.
"Well you're definitely the prettiest girl I've ever seen, don't you think so Takeru?"
"Eh?" Surprised by the question Takeru took a closer look at the girl's face and nodded his head.
"Second prettiest girl I've ever seen." He said.
"Second? Who's the first?" Jun couldn't help but ask.
"My sister of course." Takeru said smugly.
"...."
"...."
Both Jun and the miko girl were at a loss for words as Takeru proudly stuck his chest out.
"Eh? What's wrong with you two?"
Jun couldn't hold it in and finally said what was on his mind. "...Don't be weird dude..."
The miko girl nodded in agreement at his comment.
"What do you mean weird! I'm totally normal." He protested.
"*Cough* Sis-con *Cough* *Cough*." Jun coughed and the girl smiled.
"You!!" Shaking in anger and confusion Takeru found himself being ignored by his cousin and the miko girl.
"So you stole their boyfriend or something?" Jun asked the girl not realising that the conversation seemed pretty adult considering that they were all 6 years old.
"No!" The girl shouted which surprised both boys.
"I-I don't like him! They just assumed that I did..." Realizing that she had raised her voice the girl's face started to turn a bright shade of red.
"Oh... I see..." Jun said rather awkwardly. "Well since your so cute I can't blame the boy for preferring you over those other girls."
Shaking her head the girl had tears gathered in her eyes as she looked up to Jun.
"I-I'm a boy."
*Shatter....*

Smiling at the comment Jun had his eyes closed as he thought he misheard her.
"Can you repeat that." He said slowly unable to bring himself to accept the truth.
"I'm a boy." The boy in the miko attire repeated.

"I see." Jun replied with the same smile on his face.
Although Jun was able to outwardly keep his cool, Takeru was another matter entirely.
"EHHHHHHHHH!!! You're a boy!!" He exclaimed in shock.
'Idiot!'
Turning to look at the miko Jun saw him gripping the skirt part of the outfit while holding back his tears.
*Sigh*
*SLAP!*
"Ow! What the hell?" Takeru rubbed the back of his head and complained.
Ignoring his dense cousin, he walked forward and pet the miko on the head.
"Who cares if you're a boy or a girl we can still be friends right?" He said in a calm and gentle voice.
"F-Friends?" The miko said lifting their head up to meet his eyes.
"Yeah, friends." He smiled.
"W-WAHHHHHHHHH."
Instead of the reaction he was expecting, nothing prepared him for the sudden out burst of tears that erupted out of the miko's eyes.

After a while the miko finally manage to calm down.
"Are you okay?" Jun asked confused at the reason the miko started crying.
"Yeah..." The miko answered nodding their head.
"So... What was that about?"
"T-This *sniff* is the first time someone said that they wanted to be my friend."
"Seriously?" Jun said sounding surprised.
Nodding their head the miko explained that because of their feminine looks they were ostracized by the girls and the parents of the boys told them not to play together in fear that their children would start to like those of the same gender.
"And that's why you don't have any friends?"
Nodding their head, the miko's eyes started to water again.
'Its kinda cruel but its not like I can't understand the thoughts of the parents. Japan's birthrate is already on the decline and having more people turning gay will definitely not help them.'
Jumping up he held his hand out to the miko.
"Kusanagi Jun, just call me Jun." He smiled.
"Huh?"
"Shake it and introduce yourself." He said.
Slowly grasping his hand, the first thing Jun realized was just how soft and delicate they felt.
'Don't be confused, you're partaking in a manly handshake.' He kept telling himself.
"Urushibara Luka."
"Luka?"
'STEIN'S GATE!!!'
A sudden influx of information burst into his mind as he finally remembered why the miko looked so familiar! He played the visual novel and watched the anime and at the end cursed at the fact that they made Luka a boy and couldn't give him a happy ending without someone dying.
"Well Luka, now we're friends." He smiled and showed off his white teeth.

Arada Always get it confused between Luka and Ruka... and yes this is another Trap, and before you say anything, THIS STILL ISN'T A YAOI!! I thought what Jun did with Yoruichi would have made that clear.
