"I'll help you carry your stuff upstairs," Lane said as he took Marcel's backpack from him. Marcel just raised his eyebrow and let him do whatever he wanted. If he was being given a life assistant, then he will not refuse. Why make things difficult for himself?
The two of them went upstairs and, after putting in his passcode, Marcel went into the apartment, with Lane following behind him. Lane looked at the small apartment. Since it had only been two days, the place was still clean. Marcel made a beeline for his fridge as Lane stood in place, waiting for instructions.
"Just put the bag on the chair," Marcel said as he closed the fridge and rummaged through his drawer, taking out a notebook and a pen. He then went ahead and wrote in it for a few minutes before tearing off the paper and passing it on to him.
