Chapter 10: Chapter Ten
"Knock, knock!" Taehyung yells as he knocks on Jungkook's dorm door.
"Oh hello, Mr. Kim. How can I help you?" Jimin asks when he opens the door.
"I'm here to pick up Jungkook for our date. Unless you guys decided to do something tonight. Or you can tag along, I guess." Taehyung says, getting flustered and scratching the back of his neck.
"Pfft, me? Join your date? As if. I'd rather die watching the Notebook than go on a date with you two." Jimin says, opening the door all the way and letting Taehyung into the room.
Jungkook is standing in front of a mirror, checking over his outfit and pulling at his shirt a few times. He catches Taehyung's eyes in the mirror and immediately turns around.
"I didn't know Jimin let you in. Sorry you had to see me over criticize my outfit." Jungkook says, watching the floor.
"It was cute. Are you ready to go?"
"Yes." Jungkook says and the two leave the room with a mini goodbye to Jimin.
"So where to?" Jungkook asks as soon as the door closes.
"Well, first up is the planetarium because you're my world."
"Aw, that's cheesy."
"So am I. Do you want ice cream first? We still have thirty minutes before the show starts."
"Ice cream sounds great."
"Ice cream it is."
The two walk down the sidewalk and to the little ice cream shop on the corner that Taehyung went to all the time.
"What do you want?"
"Um, can I just have strawberry double scoop?" Jungkook asks the girl behind the counter who grabs a cup and a scoop to begin making his ice cream. She sets it on the counter by the register and asks what Taehyung wants.
"I'll have a large vanilla milkshake." He says, smiling at her and she smiles back before making his milkshake.
"Can I get you guys anything else?" She asks, Taehyung says no, and she totals everything up.
"It'll be 5315.49 won, please." She says and Taehyung eyebrows knit together.
"Is that with both of ours?"
"No, yours is free."
"Why?" Jungkook asks, head tilting to the side a little.
"Because he's handsome and I felt like paying for his. Is that a problem?"
"Yes, actually. He's not just a man you can hit on, he's my boyfriend." Jungkook says, getting defensive very quick. Who does she think she is?
"Oh, sorry. I didn't know you guys were faggots. It's still free though, because I've already totaled everything."
"Thank you." Jungkook says, taking a deep breath before sitting down in a booth as far away from the counter as he could find.
Taehyung pays and takes the ice cream over to Jungkook who was staring out the window, trying to calm himself down.
"Boyfriends, huh?"
"I didn't know how else to explain it."
"Well do you want to be boyfriends?"
"That'd be nice." Jungkook says, stabbing his spoon into his ice cream as Taehyung takes a sip of his.
"Then I, Kim Taehyung, would like to ask you, Jeon Jungkook, to officially be my boyfriend."
Jungkook smiles wide, his nose scrunching and his eyes almost disappearing with a little giggle before he says, "I accept your offer, Mr. Kim."
