"Hide's POV"
With all the fear and anxiousness, Arum and Raihen could only watch as the situation arises and it is sticky as it can get. Kaze's dark green hair loomed over his face minimally covering the eyes of a predator which made him seem more threatening than just looks. His grip on my tugged uniform and the steel metal baseball bat tightens when any of my two other friends try to take a step forward making it a sign that it will be the end of me if they try anything fishy.
"They could've just permanently expelled me. What a sick joke, how dare they mock me!? Make a fool of me!? I'll make them regret their fucking decision," Kaze's anger was written all over his face. His viciousness and animosity towards me isn't just something I can brush off. On the other hand, I was very confused and clueless as to why he came to be and the best decision I can do right now is to remain silent. I tried to dig deep but if anything I hardly know about him and we've never even met.
His eyes twitched and that's when he forcefully slammed my back into a wall. The back of my head also hits the wall and the impact was enough to make me gasp.
"Kh!" I slightly choked. I was struck with a painful sharp pain that rippled through the nerves of my body. Arum and Raihen rushed immediately attempt to react to the assault against me.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?! Hide didn't do anything!" Arum ran as fast as he could. This isn't good.
"What are you doing?!" I shout. Arum attempted to tackle Kaze but he immediately swings his bat vigorously in reflex with little to no hesitation. He was about to get hit, and I thought for sure it would be the end of him, luckily Raihen was able to block it with his arms.
"Whoa there!" Raihen halted. He attempted to catch the bat with his own hands but miserably failed along the process. Everything happened too quickly but he seems to remain unfazed despite getting a direct hit. A few seconds later he finally flinched in pain.
"Akh," Raihen welped.
"Why the fuck are you defending him?!" Kaze furiously asked. He brushed them both with another swing but the two immediately back away to avoid getting hit.
"I didn't do anything wrong! Why are you targetting me?" I asked in a low tone to avoid offending him. I have no reason to be angry, but he clearly has a problem with me.
"Wait..." Kaze muttered. He takes one deep breath and then spoke. "What did you say his name was?" He asked turning toward Arum.
"If you lay a finger on my best friend, I'd love to get in trouble," Arum threatened.
"Hide is my friend too, and I have to say, I don't like your attitude," Raihen crossed his arms while raising an eyebrow.
"Stop it. Violence is never the answer," I immediately spoke. I wipe myself and stood firmly on my two feet. Kaze directs his attention towards me, he drops the bat and bends down to come closer. The gap between his face and mine grew thinner barely leaving an inch, he holds my chin upwards with a finger and stared directly into my eyes.
He closely inspects me but I suddenly take closer attention to his shiny blue eyes which I can't seem to take my attention away from. I don't tend to exaggerate but it was like looking at the blue sky, it reminded me of something for some reason. It felt weird and I can't put my finger to it, but it felt so... Nostalgic.
'Have I felt something like this before?' I thought.
"Tch," Kaze hissed as he averted his eyes disappointedly. "I must've mistaken you for another person," He stood up and then started walking away. I was completely at lost of words.
"Hey! Get back here and apologize!" Arum demanded.
"Forget it!" Kaze shouted back.
"Come back here!" Arum demanded once more but only to get ignored in return. "Hey!" Arum repeated. Kaze then decided to respond with 'fuck you' hand sign in return while he continues to walk forward without looking back.
"That guy has serious issues, although I find him quite sexy, he quite feisty!" Raihen tried to compliment but gets an elbow to the stomach as a gift from Arum.
"Ow," Raihen gulped.
"I can't believe he still existed, I knew he was an asshole, but I never knew he was 'this' much of an ass," Arum ranted making a big measurement with his hands spread out. Remembering what just happened awhile ago, I smacked him in the head because now I was definitely angry.
"Why are you so reckless?! You could've been hurt!" I scolded. I panted heavily because I am not really used to being stressed out by my emotions. I won't be able to forgive myself if he puts himself in danger because of me, he always used to. He almost got hit in the head, by no means I would be happy seeing my best friend in the hospital. Maybe I was just traumatized. And yes, something like that did happen in the past.
"Hey! I can't just sit by and watch that delinquent threaten you!" Arum protested.
"SHUT UP!" I yelled. Arum and Raihen clearly got startled, their eyes widened to their surprise. Realizing that I yelled, I became sort of embarrassed for doing that.
"I'm not going to talk right now," I told. That's when I stormed off.
"Wait!" Arum and Raihen immediately followed. This isn't me and I can hate myself sometimes. He may not realize it, but he's the only person I ever cared about the most my entire life and he's the only one who can make me like this.
"How many years do you think we've known each other?!" I shouted in my head.
Time flew quite easily and I acted somewhat completely robotic throughout the day. Sometime later I was able to cool down and I was home alone with Raihen playing Uno cards on the floor in the living room. Arum eventually comes home from club practice. He takes off his shoes and closes the door while his eyes were glued on his own phone.
"Uno!" Raihen declared. I normally wouldn't call out uno when someone is down to one card, I'm not really vocal when it comes to anything, but I was down to three cards in my hand.
"Plus four," I said as I play a plus four card.
"No!!!" Raihen proceeds to draw four cards from the deck pile.
"Yellow," I declared. Since his turn was skipped I put down a yellow stop card. I was down to one card so I followed it by placing a number seven yellow card.
"I win," I told.
"Oh, what?!"
"You even forgot to say uno when I was down to one card too," I said followed by a yawn.
"W-what?! Fucking!-"
I turn to Arum who is now sitting on the sofa, he is still typing away on his phone with a smile that creeps me out. He hasn't even said a word. It could only mean one thing.
"So who are you texting?" I asked.
"Remember the girl I decided to talk to at the party?" Arum also asked. His face brightens up.
"The one with the blue tipped hair?" I crossed my arms and raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah! Her name is Yvonne! I just got a date with her tomorrow!" Arum excitedly told flopping into the couch even more.
"Good for you then," I said. Arum's in his dating phase again. I can't tell how many girls he's gone out with, I have to say he's got bad taste. According to Arum the first girlfriend he had said he was too perfect for her so she pushed him away. The second one who I remember named Ashley was two-timing him. The third one's family apparently never liked him, eventually, we discovered her family was involved in drug dealing so he immediately cut ties with her. The rest of them were just crushes of his that always led to failure.
I can't really stop his impulses and I wholeheartedly support him as his best friend. I fully accepted the fact that he will leave me one day once he finally finds a wife of his own. Yet I'm quite surprised he was still able to bring up the topic of not wanting to be separated that time we decided to take a bath together.
The only disadvantage I have is that I would often get left behind. He would give more of his time to his crushes and all I can do is listen to his stories. Then again, that's not the only problem. If he starts dating again, does that means I have to be with Raihen most of the time from now on? So now I have to be stuck with the pervert more often. Why does my life suck?
"Arum," I called out.
"Yeah?" He asked turning his attention away from his phone.
"I'm sorry I got mad at you," I told.
"You're overthinking again aren't you?" Arum gets up from the sofa and stood up. He comes towards me and gives me a hug from behind sitting down on the floor carpet with me.
"I know you just wanted to protect me," I told.
"It's nothing," Arum ruffles my hair.
"Hey, you should be thanking me, I got hurt in your place," Raihen complained.
"Right... Sorry about that," Arum shyly scratches the back of his head.
"Speaking of which. I'm hard right now, I'll just pull my dick out and masturbate," Raihen told casually. He puts his hand inside his pants and was almost about to pull it out.
"No, no, no, no, no!" Arum and I halted in unison as we tried to stop him.
"I'm hornyyyy... Please let me..." Raihen attempted to struggle but the both of us didn't allow it, Arum and I holding a hand each.
"Hornyyyy..." Raihen whined like a kid. His hand where he just touched his dick suddenly gets slapped on my face and I could already smell his testosterone. Disgusting.
"Ugh," I muttered. When will this madness end?
"Arum's POV
The following next day I woke up from my slumber suddenly opening my eyes wide open, it was from a sudden thought.
"I did something horrible," I dreadfully thought. Hide suddenly walks into our bedroom and realized I was already awake.
"Oh good, you're up," He told. He normally wakes me up so I avoid oversleeping. My best friend leaves and the thought I had awhile ago suddenly haunted me.
"Fuck," I muttered. I knew I was drunk, but I clearly remember everything I did during the party two days ago. I am also aware of the fact that. I kissed him. What was I thinking?! He's my best friend! Did he get also mad because of what happened that day? Shit. He must be so mad, I can't believe I did something unforgivable. I even forgot to apologize!
I took deep breaths and tried to calm down. I need to chill. I immediately get out of our bed and did my usual morning routines, nothing different. I showered, brushed teeth and put on my school uniform. Later I catch up with Hide on the table to eat breakfast with him, on the table he prepared eggs and bacon with bread.
Now, normally I would be excited. But I just sat down on the table and picked up my knife and fork and started to eat. Hide is also eating peacefully, I got to observe him for a short while, he still got that looks that even I find attractive. Wait, what am I saying? He then looks at me and notices me.
"Raihen is probably going to be here soon," Hide told.
"Yeah," I nodded as I take another bite of food. Now that I think of it I've gotten used to his company as well. It makes me think a lot of things has changed within such a short period of time, but here we are eating normally together as usual.
'Should I ask?' I thought to myself. I wonder if I should just keep pretending as if nothing happened at all, it's been two days. I mean, Hide never even brought it up, knowing him maybe he really doesn't care. At this point, I can't really tell what he's thinking and I shouldn't be stupid.
"I know you want to say something," Hide told. Crap he totally figured me out.
"U-Uhm, so are you going to ask someone out for homecoming?" I stammered. I hope I don't seem too oblivious.
"Seriously? You know me better than that Arum," Hide complained. Oh boy, not the kind of response I wanted to hear.
"Yeah, what a stupid question to ask," I anxiously replied frankly attempting to look positive as I usually am. My phone suddenly buzzed and the screened glowed, I immediately pick it up and noticed I received a message from Yvonne. I immediately opened it and read.
'Good morning ;)'
"Holy shit, she greeted me!" I excitedly cheered.
"Uhm, congrats?" Hide cluelessly replied. I immediately type to greet her back and sent my message. Sweet! I think I've gotten closer to her! She's like an angel compared to all the other girls I've ever met before!
We soon left our apartment, I brought my bike as usual and Raihen also showed up. The three of us go to school together and it became something I also became used to. While Raihen constantly teases Hide, I was focused on texting with my crush and we arrived at school and we were in our classroom before we knew it.
As the bell rung, everyone immediately took their seat, we patiently waited for Mister Robert. While waiting the whole class got completely thrown off. Instead of him, two other women showed up. The first one was our English professor Miss Lorraine, wearing a simple red blouse and a red miniskirt along with her mature feminine appearances. The second one was none other than our Vice Principal, Miss Kandelavra, wearing a fitting formal gray attire of a suit and a round skirt that reached almost her feet. Their appearances took us by surprise.
"Why is the vice principal here?" Everyone almost wondered. Our class tries to mutter silently, apparently, nobody likes our vice principal. She's probably the strictest person in our school.
"Good morning class! I am just going to borrow your adviser's time. We temporarily switched our schedules!" Miss Lorraine announces. Wait what?
"Miss Kandelavra here has something to announce!" She added. Miss Kandelavra steps forward and clears her throat and begins to speak.
"I am sure you all are aware of the incoming homecoming event that is about to take place! Hopefully, you all are able to find their 'dates', if that's a thing people your age consider," She horridly enunciated rolling her eyes. "Or whoever wishes to just participate and enjoy and have a good time in this social event which is about to happen in the next two weeks," The vice principal added.
"Our principal Mister Beckket has officially chosen your class to do a theatre play the day before the homecoming, we are also holding an open house that day so that we can encourage more people to enroll in our school," Miss Kandelavra said proudly. "Those people will also be part of your audience during the theatre so I expect you all to be in your best behaviors!"
"Are we seriously going to do this?" Allen complained.
"Why us?" Jesskah also followed.
"No questions! Principal's orders!" Miss Kandelavra said in disgust. She then hands over a stack of papers she was carrying to Miss Lorraine.
"I'll be watching behind the scenes. And I'll also make sure you all do your job well," The Vice Principal threatens before leaving the classroom almost immediately.
"If you all aren't well informed yet! I'm going to be your leading instructor and we all are going to practice every single day from now on!" Miss Lorraine proudly told as she spun enthusiastically.
"But we only have two weeks!" Reol protested. He stood up from his seat slamming into the palms of his hands onto the desk.
"And two weeks we shall prepare! We have plenty of time!" The professor joyfully replied spinning again dramatically. Sometimes her inability to sympathize for others can be a really big problem, because she thinks that positivity makes the world a better place. Nothing wrong with that I guess?
"Today we shall be assigning roles! And that's up to you to decide or vote amongst yourselves! I'm going to hand you all the scripts so you all better work hard! This is an original play created and commissioned by our popular school writer whose identity will be kept a secret!" The professor elaborated. She hands over multiple copies of the script to the front row seats and they immediately passed it to those at the back one after another.
"Oh wow, very exciting," Marui boorishly told sarcastically upon receiving the script while raising an eyebrow.
"It can't be that bad right?" Kayden told sniffing the papers.
"Hey! This reminds me of our elementary days! Remember when we used to be singing trees together Hide?" I excitedly asked him.
"Uh, yeah... That..." Hide cringed at the thought of it. I took a closer look at the script myself and read the title. 'Entangled Flaming Heart'.
"Sounds interesting! I'm in! I've never been in a theater before," Raihen chuckled excitedly. He started scrolling through the pages of the script. While people are trying to grab hold of the situation and looking through their scripts, there was a sudden knock on the door and the professor seemed to be waiting for it.
"Hey Hide why don't you be the Prince!" I told as I scrolled through the characters of the script.
"I'd rather not," Hide immediately replied.
"Before we start! Let me introduce you to two other guests who will join us today and become a part of the play with you!" Miss Lorraine opens the door and we immediately see two very familiar faces. Let me tell you that I did not like it one bit. One with the silver long hair and the fancier version of our school uniform and the other with the dark green hair with his menacing looks.
"Why the fuck do I have to be here?! And what the fuck are you doing here?!" Kaze asked Michelle.
"Unlike the likes of you, I was so generous enough to volunteer to be a part of the play myself! I always get what I want!" Michelle arrogantly replied.
"Welcome! Welcome!" Miss Lorraine greeted.
"Fuck you! Fuck all of you! I ain't being part of this shit!" Kaze cussed violently.
"Manners mister Chasteffie!" The professor scolded. "You say that although you still came," Miss Lorraine chuckled.
"Shit! You fucking old shampoo bottle!" Kaze attempted to insult but Miss Lorraine remains unoffended. Pfft! Shampoo bottle? I guess this is why Miss Lorraine is fitted to be our advising teacher for the play.
"Miss Candle and Mister Bucket are fucking dumb to find this as punishment for me. How STUPID!" Kaze rudely complained.
"Oh quit piping! This is an opportunity! Accept it!" Michelle sarcastically told back.
It took me time when I suddenly realized. Holy shit, what the fuck are they doing here?!
For real?!
