"No. You cannot be a hero without a quirk. Choose something more realistic. Perhaps like a Police officer. I hear that it is a fine job." Izuku Midoriya would be looking down the building at this point, from where All Might left him. Looking off to the distance and seeing black smoke. Remembering what lines this hero said.
"W-wait Kaa-chan is over there. . Oh no!" Izuku internally screeched. Then came another memory of recent, "PFt. You can't become a hero, nerd. You don't have a quirk! So go jump off a building and hope you can get one your next life."
Izuku would begin to frown. His dream shattered, and he was getting more depressed. So he just walked home and opened the door, "Mom. I'm home." Midoriya would somewhat shout. His eyes somewhat wet from tears that he shed along the way.
Inko would begin to rush over to her baby boy and begin to quickly scan for any type of wounds. After finding just scratches she sighed. Izuku also sighed, he looked weary and tired of something.
"Izuku. I love you." She spoke as she hugged her baby boy in her arms. Izuku just accepted the hug as he returned the hug. His mother's embrace felt so warm, he felt kinda bad for what he was about to do.
Soon enough Inko let go as Izuku returned to his room. Izuku looked over at all the merchandise that he had of all might. It never held the same hope in his heart as it once did. He felt kinda lost and felt that All Might was a hypocrite but he was still a good hero. Just a dirty hypocrite though.
Izuku would begin to write up something on a scrap piece of Notebook paper which was crumbled up slightly. He wrote slowly so that his calligraphy looked somewhat alright.
When it was finished. It read like so;
"Dear Mom,
I just feel like there isn't any hope left in the world. After what happened today when I met All Might. I just don't think I'm cut out to be in this world. N-not like I'm going to kill myself or anything like that. But I just feel lost, a-and if I don't return it's either that I jumped or something else happened to me.
S-so do not feel bad when I don't come back. . .
I always loved you,
Izuku."
Izuku got up and changed into something more comfortable. Which didn't include All Might shirts as he didn't feel well to wear them at this moment. He was wearing a soft, hue green shirt with blue jeans. Something that was quite modern and normal at this time.
Izuku would shout, "Mom! I'm going out for a little bit." Inko heard him and smiled, her baby boy was growing up. Izuku left the notebook scratch paper somewhere noticeable and strolled out of the house.
Izuku would be walking to the same building that he met All Might on, and thought to himself what he was going to do. He stood on the building now, and he knew that he couldn't even save himself from what he was about to do. What type of hero was he if he couldn't get a quirk. He was distraught, and heavily contemplated suicide.
He felt an intangible guilt weave in and out of his chest as he cooled his breathing, and steeled his mind ready for the jump. When he heard a diety-like voice speak out to him, "So. This is your choice? Pft. Some hero you'll be." Izuku turned around to see a man wearing normal clothing.
"W-who a-a-are y-y-y-you?" Izuku blurted out looking at the man who literally just snuck up on him unawares. He was taken by surprise, and honestly a little afraid of the man. Not knowing what intentions the man had.
"Eh. They call me a Vigilante. But. I am known as 'Forgone Peace'. Reason being, in this society peace, can never happen. Acts of violence bring more Violence. I've grown to accept that." The man would have a small little shaven beard. He looked like a grown man taken out of the samurai civil war era.
Izuku nodded his head. He knew it was true, but wanted to deny it. At least for now, and the man laughed at the nervous kid, and clapped his hand on Izuku's shoulder making his nerves wash away.
Izuku would look at the man and speak, "C-can a quirkless person become a hero?" The man raised an eyebrow, and spoke in a light tone, "Why cannot quirkless people become heroes? It's a very odd thing in this society. The answer is yes, kiddo. Anyone can become a hero from day to day lives."
Izuku looked at the man with new found hope. "You meant it?!" He shouted at the man while bowing, a great smile was spread across his face. The man boisterously laughed, and cracked up even while speaking, "K-kiddo. You're hilarious. Hell yeah, I mean it. Perhaps I could teach you or something. You'll not be able to see your parents again in around 6 months or so."
Izuku nodded his head furiously, and so his journey to becoming a hero started.
- A/N: Yaaay first chapter done. I had to rewrite the first chapter because I needed a better base to spring off of. I like MHA in the way that it's presented and wanted to put my own spin on things.
