"I commend you from using your abilities for a long time and maximizing its effectiveness. But, due to your carelessness, we landed a few attacks on you. You also used a lot of energy with useless moves. But, due to your unwavering courage and fast thinking, we would give you a rare item." Elina said while listing all of her evaluation on my last test. It was really my mistake that I was careless. I should have known that they wouldn't give me an easy one. "I believed that you did good when I activated my Time Freeze with Cynthia's wind. You did a good job thinking a way to defend your self when the time was dire. I hope that the reward we would give you could provide you a chance on your upcoming battles." Elina was getting emotional with her one-sided speech. She wasn't aware that Cynthia was laughing silently on her side. It really was funny for her. She never thought that Elina would really take it seriously.
"You know, this would counter my ability yet, I would give it to you. So you should be grateful." Elina said ending her speech and summoning a pair of silver boots. From the looks of it, it was made by the elves. The silver boots were designed to make it look fashionable yet sturdy. "This would help you move through space that was locked by time. No one could beat me when it comes to time but you'll never know if you'll face one." She handed me the boots and she beckoned me to try it on.
I put it on and it adjusted on my size. "So, this was a rare item. What else could it do?"
"It will only allow you to move freely with time locked space. That's all." Elina said but before she could add some more, Cynthia pushed her to the side and took her place.
"Well, don't be sad. As your teacher, I would also give you a reward. I also wanted to commend you for defeating Urara. He would definitely won't idle so much starting tomorrow. Congratulations on handling Elements using your gun." She also took something out on her ring. Storage rings were rare in this world. Space and Time ability were too rare to find. So, when you found a space ability user, you would want to form a friendly relationship with them. "This was once my bow when I attacked the Tower. It might not hold its former glory but I assure you that it was still good. It was called the Blooded Moonlit Bow. Rumor has it that it was made when an elf was devastated when her lover was killed by a beast so she hunted it under the blood moon. It probably was on the demon continent. But anyway, this is my reward for your exemplary performance." Cynthia ruffled my hair before handing it to me. It was a bow that was red on the upper side while bluish white. It was beautiful. Bows of elves didn't need a quiver nor arrows. They could just imbue their Elements on it and produce an arrow using mana.
As long as they haven't use all of their reserve mana on their body then they wouldn't ran out of arrows. So this bow would serve as my weapon with an unlimited arrows. "I like it."
"It would lessen the burden on your body when using mana especially at night. It could absorb nearby mana when it was night time, so use it wisely."
"Thank you, Cynthia for all of your teachings." I said and hugged her. Our relationship was good. They were both like my older sisters. I might be taller than them but that didn't stop them to treat me like I was still a child. Elina stared at us and smiled. This day would mark my last day with them. After they gave me their rewards we ate and celebrated. Urara was also with us that night. He was still mad at me but he still joined us on that night.
"I hope that tomorrow would never come." Cynthia voiced what she was feeling. "I will miss teaching you." She sighed and drank. They brought wine that looked like a red wine from Earth. It seemed that Elves celebrated their festivals with wine. "Wah! I'll miss Rain. I don't want him to go! He should stay here with us Elina!" Cynthia was pouring out her complaints but we knew that it was inevitable. Cynthia knew that we were different from them. She was Elina's best friend for nothing. They were open with each other. Cynthia never treated us like were different. She might be an elf and a princess but she treated us like we were family. It was the first time that I saw Cynthia being drunk. This might be her first time drinking. Elina took Cynthia back on her room. Like Elina, Cynthia was also tasked to guard the entrance of Clevis. There were two entrance on Clevis. The north and south part of Clevi forest. It was unknown to me but they said that if they died the entrance would open. It sounded serious so I never inquired about it. It was enough that they treated me as a family. Elina came back after a few minutes. We stayed silent gazing at the moon. There were no stars that night and the moon was full.
"You would start your journey tomorrow. I'll escort you until we arrived at the academy. You'll stay there and get a position. You know the basics, right?"
I stayed silent for a while. I looked at Elina, my teacher, master and family, for a while. She could never be my companion on this journey but I know that I had her support. She has a restriction so she couldn't help me with it. She could never participate until it was the last tower or else she would risk her life.
"Master Elina." I started. It was the first time I called her that. Shocked by the words I spoke, she turned stiff and turned on my direction then she smiled. It was only a smile but I knew and felt that it said a lot. It was sad yet glad, it was encouraging yet scared. We never really had a time for our selves where we could take it slow. We stayed until the temperature dropped. We parted never uttering anything. We could only stay silent. There were a lot of unspoken words but we knew that it was only a start. We will never know if we could really reach the end.
"I also wish that we could stay like this."
