As we continued on the path to wherever Aziell was leading me I began to notice glory and liveliness of Hallore on a much larger scale. It turned out that even though at first glance I could almost barely see the outer walls from the Tavern that looks can always be deceiving. This must have meant we had been roughly in the center of town originally.
Several minutes maybe more went by and all was too quiet aside from the occasional greetings and chattering of people we passed. I couldn't resist, I just had to break the awkward silence between Aziell and I even though I had a strange hunch he really liked it that way.
" Where are we going or where are you taking me anyway? " I asked an eager tone of voice.
" As expected, you just can't stay quiet for awhile can you? " Aziell with a sigh of distress.
" Truthfully, no, not when it's awkward like that. It was driving me nuts and besides more importantly I want to know exactly what the hell is going on. For all I know you could be leading me to some dungeon ". I replied in a smartass tone of voice.
" I guess I'll just have to get used to that with you then...Eh? " Aziell frowned a bit then sighed again.
I didn't respond. Instead, I just felt rather insulted. All I wanted was a simple explanation as to why I ended up here in the first place along with finding a way back home.
The next thing I knew the path we had traveled lead us right into the outer city wall. The wall was so massive I never realized afar how big it actually was until I had been standing right in front of it.
And then it hit me. I began to get inside my own head about things questioning what was really going on and why such the city wall was so big to begin. Maybe they were trying to keep peace inside the city or maybe more likely they were trying to keep something out. Yep, that second one made a lot more sense with a wall this huge but, the big question was what?!
" That tears it! " I shouted aloud while firmly planting my feet where I stood in front of the gargantuan wall.
" I'm not taking another step until you or someone gives me some answers as to what the hell is going on! " I added with a death stare aimed in Aziell's direction.
Aziell rolled his eyes and laughed at me then said, " No need to get your panties in a bunch man, we're here. "
" Aziell, I know I get on your nerves but I'm not putting up with any more games. I need some damn answers! All I see is some trees and a path that stops right near this wall " I replied without hesitation.
Aziell added more to the conversation, " Remember what I said earlier, you're used to seeing what you only choose to see. Open your eyes and I'll show you.. " as he cracked a partial smile.
