Chapter 5: The Pirates are here!
[pirate Era, Year 22]
At the northern cliff facing the sea, a muscular youth around 6'2 tall was gazing at the horizon. He had a well defined musculature and had a very distinct feature- a very long nose. He was wearing a brown bandana on his head along with an orange colored googles which was placed on his forehead. His upper body was naked, showing the muscles that oozed strength. This is our protagonist Usopp who is currently 17 years old, waiting for a certain group of Pirates to come.
' 2 years has passed since I awakened the color of observation. But I don't feel much more development because of this slump. I need to go out to sea and fight, as much as I hate that, or I'll be stuck at the intermediate level of haki for a long time.'
Yes, Usopp had awakened Haki two years ago. It occurred one fine day during his meditation and it felt normal to feel the presence of things nearby. At that time he could only point out the presences, and could not differentiate them. But the Usopp of today is able to differentiate between the presences of the people, and use observation Haki freely. Along with observation haki, Usopp also experimented with giving form to his will, and awakened his armament, although he could not use Hardening easily. As such, his armament Haki was only at the basic level. Even this put him at the level of an executive of a Yonko, because of his strength which rivaled that of a gear 2nd Luffy during the Dressrosa arc.
'Here they come. Should I let the kids fight these guys for a while though? Maybe I should. Hehe.'
Ussop felt the presence of a small boat carrying three different people, and he felt two presences who were strong as, or stronger than Klahadore.

The three people on the boat landed on the shore and was looking around the place.
" So Nami, You are saying that there is a village in this island?" asked Luffy, who was wearing a red shirt and a straw hat.
"Yeah. It says so on this map." Replied the orange haired cat burglar.
" That is OK and all, but what are we going to do about the three brats that's running towards us with wooden bats?" Zoro asked Luffy when he saw three kids charging at them.
"They came at the right time. We'll ask them to lead us to the village. Is there a restaurant there? I am hungry!" Luffy replied and started to move towards them.
"Not one of you Buggy pirates will step onto this island! The vegetable trio of the Usopp Pirates will finish you off!" Yelled the three executives of the Ussop pirates and started to accelerate.
When they were close to the bottom of the cliff, the saw a hand stretching out and catch Piiman and pulled him. They were surprised, but continued to move in the direction of the one who captured him with even more fighting spirit but somebody stopped them first.
"Let me go you damned green head!" "Our captain will not let you go, Buggy Pirates!" They both yelled.
Zoro was surprised when he felt the strength of the two kids. He thought that they were strong as the 5 million berri bounties he had hunted before.
" Your captain? Someone who could train kids to be this strong is not to be underestimated. Luffy, we might have trouble." Said Zoro after taking in the information he got from the kids.
" Yeah. And I think I am looking at him right now." replied Luffy while looking towards the top of the cliff, where a young man with a distinctly long nose was looking at them.
"What purpose do you have here, Buggy pirates? I, the great captain Usopp will not let you off easily if you don't give me a proper reason." asked Usopp even though he knew they were not.
"Buggy? We are not the Buggy pirates. We took this boat after beating them." said Nami, shivering a little because of the pure strength radiating from Usopp.
"Yeah. We just wanted to get some food and maybe buy a ship. Our captain here has been real irritating because he was hungry." Said Zoro while taking a jab at Luffy, while releasing the kids. He did it quickly because getting marked by a sniper of that caliber did not feel good.
" Usopp? So you are Usopp huh?...Do you know of a man named Yasopp?"
"Yasopp?! How do you know of my father? You know where he is right now?" Usopp put up an act af if he was super surprised.
"Yeah. He always used to talk about you. I know that he is in Shank's crew, although I don't know where they are now."
"Shanks? As in Red Haired Shanks? My dad is a member of a Yonko's crew? Awesome!" Usopp continued his act, complete with the stars coming out of his eyes while tears were flowing."
"Yonko? What is that? Anyway, can you let us into your viilage?" Luffy glanced over that very important matter like it was nothing. Though Zoro was looking at Luffy like an idiot and Nami was thinking what the word Yonko entailed. The vegetable trio on the other hand had stars in their eyes when they heard that their captain's dad was a big league pirate.
" Yes I will. Since you know my dad and is a close friend of his. BUT, there is one matter that you have to accept before that." Stated Usopp very seriously.
"What?" Asked Luffy and Nami at the same time.
"Let me into your crew."
Usopp made the first move.

CREATORS' THOUGHTS 
battlemonger
battlemonger I'll try to make the East blue saga as interesting as possible. Also, the Strwahats will be made to train in a proper manner, rather than the upgrade from the power of friendship.
Usopp will have the slingshot as his main weapon. He has a lot of other stuff up his sleeve though. :)
