Chapter 33: The Nine Peaks II

The Design Peak was the last of the nine peaks to form in the academy. Its primary objective is for students to focus on designs of all kinds from clothing to weaponry to aircraft. When the two arrived outside of the teleportation gate, they were greeted by a pure white scenery
The large buildings that looked blocky whilst having various linings in different colors flowing fluidly in between. Every building changed colors at the exact same time and matched each other as if someone had OCD
Not only were the buildings like that, but even the ground beneath them also looked similar to the buildings. Wang Tao couldn't help but say "This is the design peak right? Why does everything look the same around here?"
"..."
At the top of each building, a different sign could be seen. First, the two visited the clothing building. As they entered, they saw many female students from every year sitting down and drawing onto a drawing pad. One of the girls drew a shirt that had silver lining and space for a small monster core to fit into it
The design was quite complex and weird to look at. Another girl designed boots that had a little heart shape that was frilly like a fairy tale princess
Ye Qin used his peripheral vision and saw a single male student sitting on a desk by himself. A lone male in a room full of female students quietly sketched onto his tablet. This young man piqued Ye Qin's interest making him walk up behind him without the young man noticing and took a look at his sketch

"I see, so that's how it is." Ye Qin thought as he looked at the drawing slowly coming to life. When the drawing was done, the former placed a piece of paper with a quick sketch onto the table and said "I think it's better if you do it like this."
Thump*
The young man hearing Ye Qin sneaking up from behind him jumped as both his knees hit the desk causing him to cry out in pain. The young man rubbed his knees a bit before looking at Ye Qin and said "Who are you?" then looked at his drawing before the latter could even reply
The young man's eyes widened as he picked up the drawing as if he had seen a painting of god himself. He pushed his chair out before kowtowing in front of Ye Qin and said loudly as his voice cracked "Teacher please accept this student."
"..."
"What?! Ye Yangtian can talk that loud? Wait he's kowtowing???" one of the girls said. Ye Qin was silent for a brief moment before saying "All I did was give you some pointers, don't call me teacher I'm only 18…"
"Please accept this disciple!" Ye Yangtian stubbornly said as he kept his head down onto the hard surface of the ground
"No way, Ye Yangtian is calling someone younger than him, his teacher? What's happening here? Why is this so exaggerated?" the same girl from before said
Ye Yangtian's disturbance in the clothing department of the Design Peak ended up spreading throughout the entire peak rapidly. Even the peak master caught wind of the news. After a while, the room became crowded with everyone in the department watching them
Ye Yangtian didn't budge an inch even with Ye Qin and Wang Tao's encouragement. Seeing how stubborn he is Ye Qin had no choice but to give in to the young man who is even older than he is
The latter got down and dragged him up with both arms and said "Alright I give up, just call me teacher or whatever you like.". Ye Yangtian's voice came back as he said "Your disciple Ye Yangtian greets teacher."
"..."
"All I did was draw lines on a piece of paper and all of a sudden I gained a disciple…" Ye Qin thought
"It's kinda embarrassing to have you call me teacher in public so um just when it's us alright." Ye Qin said. Ye Yangtian nodded as he sat back down to change up his drawing according to what Ye Qin pointed out for him
Naturally, Ye Qin and Wang Tao stayed to see his final drawing before leaving with Ye Yangtian bowing as the two brothers left the department

"Man we didn't even visit the other departments but now everyone knows us." Wang Tao said. Ye Qin sighed and replied "Yea… The way he did it was extremely old fashioned, though he is talented, he perfectly made the fixes I pointed out to him and improved it further. Now the only problem is how he will manage to work with the other peaks to bring his drawings into reality."
Wang Tao held his chin as he nodded as the two brothers visited the other departments. Naturally, since everyone had heard of them because of the earlier commotion, no one was surprised when the two came to visit their departments
After visiting each of the departments and briefly meeting up with the peak master, the two left and headed towards the Art Peak

When they arrived, they were greeted by the site of bizarre realm. Not a single person was to be seen, instead an army of statues of a single person plagued the peak. Each statue looked exactly the same as the other as if they were sculpted by machines
The statues were of a fair maiden wearing a veil that covered the lower half of her face. Her clothes were those of over 2000 years ago and on her back a beautiful and thin sword was placed perfectly without disturbing the elegance of the maiden
"Whoever sculpted these sure has a weird fetish." Wang Tao said as they walked by the statues. Though, the statues weren't the only weird things around the two. The space around them appeared like a distorted space with random colors in the sky as if the peak existed in the void
Suddenly a voice could be heard around them "Why thank you for the compliment". "It wasn't a compliment." Wang Tao replied
"!"
The two boys jumped backwards when they heard the voice. When they looked at one of the statues, its lifeless eyes suddenly glew and came to life. "Come now no need to be afraid, it's not like I'll gobble you up." the voice said
One couldn't tell if the voice was male or female since it sounded like a robot set to monotone. Ye Qin calmed down and replied "Greetings peak master." Wang Tao followed suit whilst the peak master's voice grew cold and the statues no longer glew

The statues all moved in unison creating a path for the two boys to walk forwards. After walking a hundred or so meters, they arrived at a teleportation gate. The two naturally stepped inside as they took off

Once they arrived on the other side of the teleportation gate, the two were greeted by a more normal sight. The true sight of the Art peak is almost identical to the Medicine peak, surrounded by large mountains and rivers whilst clouds could also be seen near the buildings located in the center of the peak
The buildings appeared as though it were surrounded by a huge donut made of steep mountains and rivers flowing down creating a large water source. Looking down beneath them, the two were on a large stairway surrounded by small clouds that looked like cotton candy. The pathway itself was made by a rainbow that didn't miss any of the seven colors
Step* Step*
The two walked down the stairwell as they enjoyed the scenery around them. When they reached near the bottom, a middle aged man wearing a suit sat on a fancy chair whilst sipping on an aromatic cup of tea

When they reached the very bottom, the middle aged man said "Welcome to my peak". "It's nice to see you in person, peak master." Ye Qin replied
"Hahahahahaha, indeed so, indeed." the peak master replied. "So what do you think of this view?" he added. "It's beautiful, similar to the Medicine peak. Could it be you are?" Ye Qin asked. "Indeed, the Medicine peak master is my father." the peak master replied
"Well now that you're here, come, come." the peak master stood up and with a wave of his hand, the scenery changed. The peak master walked followed by the two brothers behind him as they walked into a hallway filled with covered artworks
In the center of the hallway, a large canvas is completely blank. Strangely enough, the closer they got to the canvas, the more an image started appearing on it. Once they were only a meter away from the canvas, a large painting of the same maiden the statues was painted onto it
"You must really enjoy Xianxia novels." Wang Tao said. "Hahahaha, kind of, but you see this is how I imagine my ideal woman is." the peak master replied
"Wait, is it alright to be saying that when you have a daughter?" Wang Tao added. "Err well… she knows?" the peak master said slowly as a bead of sweat dripped down his forehead. "Um right let's move on." Ye Qin interjected
The three of them nodded as they agreed to change the topic. The peak master lead them around the hallway as well as going around the entire peak to see other students working on their own. When they returned to the large painting once again, Ye Qin had another look at it
Ye Qin noticed that each stroke contained the feelings the peak master held. Though he paid close attention to the artwork, he couldn't think of a way that may benefit trainers through art. Though he did read a lot of xianxia novels he knew that qi didn't exist in reality, the way of the arts could not help him in any way unless he can find a way through a source of energy similar to qi
