Chapter 1: Why am I the villainess?
I used to play a game, where a heroine would capture the princes heart and save him from his wicked fiancée, they'd over come all manner of evil plots put together by her, make her fall to ruin and live happily ever after...
Actually that wasn't the only route of the game - To Capture a Nation - but Madison Narcisse Vanaere was the villainess for multiple routes, call it lazy game development but watching her downfall was a highlight of the game.
She was just the worse type of human, born the only Daughter of a Dukes house, she was spoilt rotten by her parents and siblings until she looked down on everyone, she forced an engagement with the prince because she fell in love with him at first sight and relentlessly bullied anyone who tried to get close to him. Beautiful and arrogant, the worse personality she'd bully the heroine, a barons daughter that was brought up by commoners, all because she was too close to the capture targets
Eventually like with most Otome games - in the good ending the heroine teams up with a capture target and forces her downfall... it was a pretty standard plot.
The men were gorgeous, some of the scenarios weren't easy to clear, and best of all Magic was part of the games mechanics.
I played it through a few times then left it, I wasn't obsessed, I didn't even finish some of the routes.
But why have I said all this.... well it seems I've Died, and what's worse is that I've reincarnated as the Villainess Madison Narcisse Vanaere.
I DON'T WANT TO BE THE VILLAINESS.
