Chapter 2: 002 How it all began
My uncle was working late in his shop. So I decided to go to his library as he never wants me to work during 'unearthly hours' he often tends to say. Honestly, having a caring uncle is great, but being able to look through his extraordinary vast book collection is sometimes even greater; if you are a book worm like me. I love his fantasy section in his library very much. Little did I know that some books contain real magic. Like so often I just was browsing the books. However, I really didn't know what was riding me at that day to stop in the historical section from his library. Usually, I just walk past it as I am not much interested in history anyway. Until that one faited day, where all I knew changed...
I stopped at the bookshelf and saw a dark blue book. It looked ancient but something draw me to it and I still don't know why I took this untitled book from the shelve. The only eye catching thing was the insignia which looked similar like our family trigram.
I opened the book and I immediately realized the reason why I found that insignia so familiar. I was holding in my hands the chronicles of my family. My curiosity was immediately caught since there where many details next to the dates given from each person of my family. This book was quite thick as it also encompassed short lifestories from some of my ancestors. I was looking through the book skipping many pages as I had to carefully handle those old pages to not ruin them at all. Until I found the final page, that changed my life from one second to the other... Our family tree. It was more off a folded map within the end section of the book. I started reading up from the present day with the incredible vast branches of our family. Slowly reaching the top to find the name off our family head who lived exactly 888 years prior I was born. His name was exactly the same as mine Long Wu... Shocked from this surprising revelation the book glided out of the grip of my hands. Falling slowly, taking almost infinite amount time, towards the floor. Dust from the book enshrouded myself in that moment like a cloud. At this very moment I left year 2012 seemingly forever...
