Hidden Room
When Jiang Yue had woken up, a satisfied expression was visibly written on her face. The reason was because she had gotten a really good night sleep. Ever since she had been rebirth, she would have nightmares most of the times. She would dream about that night when she faced death and it had been bothering her lately.
No matter how strong-willed she might looked like outside, she still couldn't escape from her past's clutches. She was scared, scared that history will repeat itself. She feared that she would have to experience the same feeling when all her loved ones died 'because of her'. That's why in this life she was determined in protecting her family and companions. She would avenge her people. She would repay them all. That's the vow that she would need to accomplish.
Then, her attention was attracted by a knock on the door.
"Yes?" She replied.
"Young miss, a guest going by the name Fang Mei Xiu is here. Should I let her in?" Christie asked her for permission.
'Ah..how could I forgot? I think I should drink some medicine now. I've been so forgetful lately. Wait..maybe I should get a reliable assistant.' She said inside while praising herself for her genius idea.
Well, even if she remembered, she wouldn't have expected Mei Xiu to come really early in the morning.
"Young miss?" Christie's voice sounded again snapping her out of her mind.
"Lead her to the guest room. I'll meet her in a short while." She commanded.
Then, she took a quick shower to clean herself up. She of course didn't want to let her guest to wait for her but didn't have any other option. It would be uncomfortable and unprofessional if she showed herself up in a disorganized and messy state. Well, she actually didn't care to hide this side of hers since Mei Xiu had seen it in her previous life and worse, at that. But since they just knew each other in this life not long ago, it would be somewhat weird.
Meanwhile, at the guest room.
'The interior design of this room is exceptionally good. There is a bright lit chandelier in the middle of the room with a unique pattern carved exquisitely surrounding it and it seems to be a figure of a dragon and phoenix soaring into the sky while circling each other. What makes it more praiseworthy is that they look realistic and alive. The creator must be an expert in it. The framed arts hanging on the wall are not losing in comparison as well. And this couch is more comfortable than mine even though mine was one of the best. It looked like it was made from a special material. It's so much better that I don't mind sleeping on it every night. Where did she get all these high-quality furnitures from? She's really wealthy though.' Mei Xiu thought.
She initially wanted to curse at Jiang Yue for being late but stopped when she saw this tempting luxury and so she was wasting her time enjoying the luxury while waiting for the late hostess (Jiang Yue). She sipped the tea that was served on the table and was more content than ever. The fragrance was very soothing and it tasted different from the teas that she used to drink before.
After a few minutes of comfort, the late hostess finally showed up. Her hair was tied to a messy bun just like when she met the so-called pervert Long Min before, ah, her boyfriend now. Strands of hair fell to the side of her face making her look more adorable and intensified her beauty. She was wearing a sleeveless plain white shirt and shorts.
She gracefully walked towards the girl drinking tea and greeted. "Good morning, Miss Fang. Forgive me for the delaay."
"Good morning. Don't mention it, it's fine." Mei Xiu replied and smiled lightly with one that didn't reach her eyes. In her heart, she was saying, 'I don't mind waiting for you longer.'
"Thank you. I didn't expect for you to come so early though." She thanked.
Realising what she came here for, Mei Xiu cut to the chase. "I apologize. I was a bit impatient. Shall we get to business?"
"Okay, follow me." She led Mei Xiu to another room.
Once they arrived in front of the door, she stopped and Mei Xiu who was at the back slightly bumped to her body as well.
"Why did you suddenly stop?" Mei Xiu asked with a blaming tone.
"We've arrived at the door." She explained.
"Why didn't you tell me before?" Mei Xiu asked again.
"I just did." She stated.
"…"
Mei Xiu rolled her eyes while saying inside. 'Yes, after I bumped at you.'
When they went inside, Jiang Yue stopped right in front of a certain part of the wall.
Then, Jiang Yue placed her palm on it. There was some sort of artificial light coming from the wall that was illuminating her whole body and quickly disappeared . It looked like it was scanning her.
After it disappeared, the wall automatically opened itself like a door. It was a small space with only two chairs and a small table.
She gestured with her hand and said. "Come in."
Curiosity took over Mei Xiu. "What are we doing here?"
"Just observe." She replied.
When they both came in, the wall closed itself like before and the small room that they were in turned left and they arrived in another room. Then, Jiang Yue led Mei Xiu to the new room. Suddenly, the small space that they were in turned right again and was no more to be seen.

(A/N* I really don't know how to describe the room turning left and right clearly. Like it just came from my imagination and there was once a movie that I watched similar to this scene but I unfortunately don't remember the title so yeah sorry if you guys don't get it. Btw, I don't know when I will publish the next chapter since I'm having my final exams this week. It may be later than usual. Sorry in advance.)
