Prologue

It fiddled with its noodle fingers, and at each tap of the table followed a long pause. The strong smell of rotten cheese and vinegar circulated around the room, and the men hiding in the shadows felt their vision waning. A woman wearing black approached the elder struggling to keep a straight face.

She leaned over and whispered with an alluring voice, occasionally glancing at the 'monsters', "Mr. President, It has been an hour already and a few members of the board are already voicing complaints... and if they don't get results sooner, I'm afraid..."

The elder's brow raised, and seeing this the woman sighed. "I understand, I'll relay the message to the board."

With quiet steps, she vanished into the shadows. At the same time, the tapping stopped and the unbearable smell disappeared. The noodle fingers coalesced into a small peach bud, it slowly unveiled it's transulcent petals. Fast as they came, the petals withered and what was left was a glowing marble.

A chorus of cacophony led by the children's pure pitch amidst the growling of old echoed from the empty space, "Leader of the defilers, I shall show this that they may understand their insolence...."

Then the glowing marble vanished, and a bright light flashed followed by urgent screams.

"Shit! Go and save the president!"

Amidst the blinding light, several shadows whizzed near the elder. But before they could touch even the hem of his clothes, they stood still. Their face filled with suprise and their eyes transformed into a swirling galaxy. Everyone else in the room, and everyone in the world came to an immediate stop. Wherever they are, and whoever they are, shared the same fate as the president's guards.

A planet, green and blue, exuding tranquility and eternal beauty started to transform into a hideous beast riddled with scars and bleeding cuts. Its skin made grey and brittle caved in, and immediately dispered into ashes. Unveiling multitudes of flesh boiling, writhing in pain, and the sound of anguish shook the space surrounding it as the sphere cracked. The fragments passed away as the skin, and left a dying core burning in desolate color as evidence of the tragedy.

The earth welcomed a short period of silence. A husky voice drowned by radio static was heared by every ear.

"Epochs ago, there lived here a weak barbaric race without even a spec of intelligence. Beings larger than they, more smarter and advance walked amongst them... and regarded them as the lowliest, a bug whose only worth is to be cattle..."

The voice paused, and the entire world remained quiet, patiently waiting for the words to come. A man stepped out of his worned apartment, and joined the people around him in staring at the muddy skies. While everyone else was anxious, he was saddened.

"... They struggled, faught only to have their numbers dwindle meaninglessly. Soon, the race was ready to face death and none would mourn for the death of cattle... Yet, 'she' would and forbade it... Her mercy saved our race and brought upon the glory we have now..."

The skies grew darker as the clouds melted into a river of blood, flowing endlessly around the dark.

".... However, It is the same mercy that brought upon her end... Head my words defilers, they who hunger for more are to be saved, for this is... her last request."

The voice vanished, but the skies remained unchanged. Panic ran across the world as the masses demanded an answer. Multiple oppurtunitist reaped profits from the chaos, some stole and some killed and a group ridding their morals raped.

Unfazed, the man entered his apartment with no hurry. At the center of the room is a rectangular pod, and with a push of a button, the glass retracted and showed an empty chamber enough to fit two people. He laid inside and a gushing smoke started to fill the chamber as the pod closed. Closing his eyes, he welcomed the darkness with no fear.
