Chapter 19: She Got Demoted?
Qian Yih looked towards her classroom, how she missed her innocent and simple days of school.
Who would have known that a few years later, so much could have changed?
Sighing at her past memories, Qian Yih sat in her seat, reminiscing about the times she had spent with her friends.
" Missy, leaving to show a boy the men's room? Very suspicious!" Ying Shui interrupted Qian Yih's train of thought, " What would Long Wei say!"
Qian Yih cast her eyes on Ying Shui. Her cheeks were flushed red and her mouth was upturned into a big smile. Realising that Ying Shui was joking, Qian Yih giggled, replying back haughtily, " Missy, which magical being made you so high? Was it that joker, Cheng Ping? "
Blushing profusely, Ying Shui shielded her face from her friend's eagle eyes. Calming herself down, Ying Shui finally looked back to Qian Yih, rolling her eyes, " I can't be bothered with him, he's so lame, okay, "
Seeing as Qian Yih raised her eyebrows, Ying Shui covered her face once again, afraid that she was blushing yet again.
" Guys! Guess what!" You know the new girl in D class? The Jin... Jin something, she got demoted!" Hearing such explosive news, the entire class quietened down, waiting for him to explain.
Excited to publicise his latest scoop, the boy quickly continued on, " So right, she got into D class because she has connections. Recently, there was an anonymous person who leaked some of her juicy secrets! You guys want to hear?"
" Obviously! Or else what do you think we are waiting for?"
" Okay. Geez guys, chill. Anyway, she actually came from one of the worst schools in this country! What's worse, she got into trouble for violence, underage smoking and stealing!"
As people's jaw dropped and eyes widened, Qian Yih waited patiently for his next piece of information.
" She got demoted and put on probation. If she shows that kind of behaviour again, she will be expelled."
A girl sitting within her clique loudly commented, " That's unfair, she should just be immediately expelled! With such a personality in this prestigious school, isn't it dirtying the school's name? Seriously! Next thing you know, murderers will be allowed to attend class with us. Eww! Imagine sitting next to someone like that!"
" Yea, I agree!"
" Totally irresponsible of the school!"
" What happens if she attacks a student! I'm worried about my safety!"
As the discussion of the fiasco became livelier by the second, a teacher stepped into class. Squinting her eyes to see better, she was shocked to see her normally well-behaved class being rowdy even after she stepped into the classroom.
" Class stand!" She announced.
As soon as the class realised Ms Yu was here, silence immediately followed. Ms Yu rolled her eyes, taking out her infamous green forms. A clear warning to anyone who dared to question her authority.
The students quickly greeted her in unison. Nodding towards her students, the whole class sat down. Looking to each other, they pursed their lips.
" What was so interesting that you forgot about the lesson?" Ms Yu started her interrogation sarcastically.
The few students shifted uncomfortably in their seat.
" Come on! If it's that good of an excuse, why don't you share with the class?" Ms Yu's malicious smile appeared on her face.
Shivering at her cruel grin, a brave soul raised his hand.
" Yes?" her voice turned gentle, but everyone knew better. This was when Ms Yu was the scariest.
The girl swallowed her saliva before starting, " We... were..."
" Stop stuttering, you're making a fool of yourself. Don't be so pathetic, "
Harsh and painful words destroyed the girl's little confidence. As the class fell back into silence, the only noise was the girl's quiet sobbing.
Qian Yih sighed. Did this girl not know that Ms Yu was unreasonable? If you were to face someone who has no logic whatsoever, you would have to be more thick-skinned.
" We were talking about a student from Ms Yu's form class who got demoted, Miss, " Qian Yih loudly explained.
Ms Yu looked towards the girl sitting near the back. Someone dared to talk like this in HER class? What's more, the explanation made it sound like it was her fault for that stupid girl's demotion?
" I'm speaking the truth, right?" Qian Yih continued to poke.
Sighing, Ms Yu ignored her and instead took out her textbook.
