Michael and Lillie sat in the office with Aza, Astounded at the Aura coming from him.
"Lillie, open the safe and retrieve the materials for the Chaos Containment Array!"
Lillie was beginning to fear Aza, he was only a Mere mortal this morning, yet the Aura he was producing was already past the Void Tribulations and was Entering Directly into Angelic Dominion!
"How can he grow so fast Michael? This kind of power takes decades to attain!"
Michael motioned with his hands for Lillie to hurry. She did as instructed and input the code, finding the materials and handing them the Michael.
"This isn't him cultivating, it's his power coming back to him all at once! This is too fast! If this continues, then the entire county could be leveled."
Gabriel burst into the door. "What's going on here?" there was a sense of concern in his eyes.
"His Cultivation, we can't suppress it. We have to place the Chaos Containment Array." Michael spoke while emplacing flags, stones, and other precious materials on the floor. He then pulled a paintbrush and a vial of bright red liquid out of his jacket and began drawing ancient runes around Aza.
Finishing the runes he instructed both Gabriel and Lillie to stand on two of the array centers. "Hold your grounds, it may take all of us to keep his aura contained!"
They all took their places and poured their angelic power into the containment.
*** Inside of Aza's Dantian***
The god began to back away from Aza as his power began to create ripples. Even he did not recognize the Symbols wreathed in flames. He could even feel his source being drawn to it. As if it were wanting to leave him and return home.
"Father…"
The god felt in his heart that his fears were true. The one before him would surely surpass him. If not for the circumstances, he would never have released such a monster.
ROOOAAR!
Aza felt his body scream. His bones were in ruin. He could feel his bones breaking, healing, the rebreaking over and over again. The black symbols began to glow brighter, and began to move towards him. They began to merge into his body, and become one with him. All the while, the stars around him merged into one. The Single star began to shine brightly. And just when the god could no longer take it, the star seemed to rise into a new realm, and a whole new galaxy was born.
The stars began converging again and again.
"What is this?" the god whispered with tears in his eyes.
He recognized these stars. They were of another galaxy far away. One that his brothers and sisters had conquered and destroyed. "How could his source recreate such things?"
Tremors were visibly seen and Aza's Aura swelled and became Violent, a set of wings sprouted from his back. They were Solid black, and were wreathed in blue flames. Symbols were etched onto each feather.
These symbols gave the god a sense of dread. Each one boasted its own bone-chilling aura.
"He's already broken into the Angelic realm…"
AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!
Aza let forth a terrible scream. The god could hear his anguish. Had his soul been aware this whole time?
The waves surrounding the island exploded. The stars converged again, becoming one. Once again another sea of stars appeared.
Overwhelming Power erupted from Aza. This didn't amount to much in front of the god, but he'd been alive for many terraanum. He knew the growth he was seeing was godly in its own right. And the quality of power was even more frightening. The island they were on was no longer an island. It had grown to the size of a continent in this short time.
The stars continuously flowed in a cycle of emergence, convergence, and ascension.
Aza could feel his body growing stronger. He could still feel his bones undergoing transformation, and now his veins grew hot, he could sense symbols searing themselves into his blood vessels. He felt they were reinforcing his body, making it more durable, and awakening potential within him.
"What is happening to me?!" Aza cried out.
The god could feel his terror, his pain, his suffering.
Aza fell to his knees. Another set of wings emerged from his back, first solid bone etched with symbols, soon muscles and feathers bloomed like sweet Alyssum on a forest floor. Aza clenched at the ground, gritting through the pain. He just needed to hold onto something. He knew that as long as he could just hold onto something solid that he wouldn't lose himself in his agony.
He finally felt a hand on his shoulder. The presence alone gave him a cooling sensation. He looked up to see himself with six wings, wearing ancient black robes lined in silver. His black hair covering most of his face, but his eyes burned an unmistakable hue of blue.
"Azazel.. My son." The god spoke.
"To be a child, there must once be a beginning, and so there must be an end. I simply am, with no beginning and no end." spoke Azazel with a solid tone.
These words puzzled the god. He understood what he meant, though there was profound meaning within these words. He reminded him of the Angelic Thrones that served under him.
"I see you have interpreted the universal intent."
A look of great sorrow, and mourning was indented into Azazel's face.
"Simply watch."
He kneeled in front of Aza. "Do you remember what I told you?"
Aza, couldn't answer. He was in too much pain.
"Focus on the symbols. They will guide you."
Aza shifted his focus to the symbols that were scattered through his body. Seared into his veins. Carved into his bones. Burned into his soul.
All energy fluctuations ceased, and the ocean settled. Aza felt his stomach grow tranquil.
"Has it ended?" asked the god.
Azazel looked over his shoulder. "No Tetragrammaton. This is only the calm before the storm."
The god felt his bones quiver. He'd never shared this name with his children before. "How?" he whispered.
"Time will reveal everything."
The god was frustrated by this. Nothing under heaven escaped his sight. How could there be anything he did not know?
Aza felt his mind become serene.
Azazel turned to face him. "brace yourself."
BOOOOM!
Like a drop into still water Blue Lightning struck Aza's crown.
Ripples flowed out, then grew into a torrent of devastation. A Pure Silver halo with black symbols formed behind his back and yet another set of wings sprouted from his back.
Aza's eyes burned with pure blue light that looked out over the world like a lighthouse in the dark. The ground around him began to shatter. Azazel waved his hand and an array formed. A temple grew around them.
"Focus on your Ascension, I will take care of everything else."
*** In Michaels office***
The trio had been focused on controlling the Chaos Containment Array for quite some time. Sweat was dripping from all of their faces in concentration.
"Michael, this cant go on forever." Gabriel spoke. The way this was going, he wouldn't be able to keep going for more than an hour.
"Just hold tight!" Michael managed to get out.
Lillie was silent. She persevered in hopes that Aza would be okay.
All of a sudden the Aura grew Serene.
"Michael what happened?" asked Gabriel in relief.
"I don't know, but until we know for sure keep up the array."
A few moments passed by and the three grew Anxious.
Lillie couldn't take it any more. "Michael I think it-"
BOOOOM!
Blue lightning struck Aza
The three could feel their mental powers being sapped from them at a frightening pace.
"Michael I won't be able to maintain this for more than a few seconds!" Gabriel cried.
Michael looked at Aza, "What are you?"
Lillie looked at Aza as well. She could see his face was twisted in agony. She began to weep. What had he been through all this time. Why was this happening now? He was supposed to cultivate slowly with her. She only wanted to see him smile, to grow in safety, helping him when he came across a bottleneck. How could such a beautiful pair of eyes give off such a burning Murderous Aura?
"Michael his Back!" Gabriel shouted.
Three Glorious Black wings with beautiful symbols etched into each feather.
"Is that… A Halo?" Whispered Michael.
Suddenly Symbols appeared around Azas feet in a Sophisticated pattern that he did not understand.
"It's so complex…"
All Energy outside of the Primordial array ceased it's onslaught. Returning the room to a tranquil state. Gabriel fell onto his back breathing heavily. Michael fell to his knees. He looked to the heavens for answers, only finding a charred hole revealing the sky above. He stared into the abyss.
Lillie, however, kept her eyes on Aza. She could sense his pain. It was heartbreaking, and she could feel it herself. After all, wasn't it hers as well?
