Jaune laughed and waited for them all to be out of sight, he then waved his hand before he pulled in all the broken cup fragments off the ground and into his inventory.
"Cool, now I can see what happens when I discard something from my inventory." Just as Jaune was about to test it out, he saw his father's car pulling up in the driveway, Jaune smiled as he saw his father step out of the family car, he saw a beauty of an elderly woman step out as well.
She had bright blond hair with a couple of grey stripes running through them, blue eyes that shined with a hint of power behind them. Jaune noticed as she walked, that it was still like a warrior in their prime, and even though she was in her sixties, she only had a couple of crows feet around her eyes with no other noticeable wrinkles to show her age.
She was a bit short though, only around 5 feet 7 inches, she walked up to Jaune and stared at her grandson with a smile, You're the spitting image of your grandfather," Joan D'Arc ran her hands across Jaune's cheeks.
"Hey, Granny, where is that old coot?" Jaune asked as he pulled her into a quick hug.
"He'll be out tomorrow, he had to settle something back with work," Joan said as she looked at her son come charging over towards Jaune and stepped back.
Jaune held out his arms expecting his father to embrace him, however, at the last second, his father balled his fist and shouted, "You idiot!" as he punched a defenseless Jaune straight in the face.
Jaune fell back onto the ground and rubbed his nose as he shouted, "What the hell old man!?"
"Do you have any idea what you've done!?" Jaune's father picked him up by the collar of his hoody, "Why, why did you have to unlock your Aura!?"
That was the last straw, Jaune loved his father to death, but he couldn't take it any longer, the questions that plagued him long after their deaths, the same questions that he died with came bubbling to the surface, Jaune grabbed his wrist, "Yes dad, I unlocked my Aura, so what?! I'm following my dreams!"
Jaune's aura erupted, a clear and beautiful white light surrounded his body and gave him the strength to push his father off of him, "Do you have any idea the suffering you caused me, I always felt like I wasn't good enough! Every time I asked you to train me, you always shot me down, will I never good enough to earn your approval? Why? Why did you squander my talent! Why was I the only one who wasn't allowed to have their Aura's unlocked!?" Tears were falling from Jaune's eyes.
"I..." Jaune's father frowned, "I had a reason Jaune, I didn't want you to..."
"Lance that's enough!" Joan shouted.
"No mother, he wants to know, then I'm going to tell him." Lance pulled his jacket off and pulled his button-up shirt open to reveal terrible wounds and sword scars across his chest.
"I wanted to keep this from happening to you!"
Jaune's eyes widened, "Those weren't made by Grimm."
"No," Lance buttoned back up his shirt, "This was made by your great-great-grandfather, I was lucky enough to survive, your 6 uncles, on the other hand, all perished at that things hands."
"How?" Jaune shook.
Joan sighed, "It's a form of inheritance made by your ancestor, all of his skills, all of his Aura is contained within some kind of specter; if someone is worthy they will inherit a gift."
Lance spat on the ground, "Gift my ass!"
"Lance that's enough! Your grandfather's gift was a bloodline that ensures the birth of those with unnatural Aura Levels, and you know what your gift was!" Joan yelled.
"What does any of this have to do with why you wouldn't train me?" Jaune shouted.
Joan let out another sigh, "The test can only be taken once, and only the males of the Arc Bloodline that have had their Aura awakened can...will be forced to take the test. As long as you didn't have Aura, you could live a normal life."
"That's it?" Jaune said with a look of disbelief, he then grabbed his father by his jacket and squeezed so hard he cracked his knuckles, "That's it, the world it tittering on the edge of destruction, and you wanted to protect me from some test my ancestor set up! Everyone we know and love..." Jaune punched his father in the face and surprised him by knocking him down.
"Do you have any idea what I've been through! The shit I've seen! The times I wished, begged to any god that would listen, just for the strength to protect my loved ones." Jaune seriously confused his father, he knew something was very different about his son, you can't fake the kind of pain Lance saw in his eyes.
"Jaune! What's going on!?" Gwen's voice called out to see Jaune standing over his father looking particularly pissed.
Ruby and the rest were standing beside her as well, Jaune took a deep breath and said, "In less than 7 years in the future, I died, in battle, against a hoard of Grimm so massive, that all of Humanity and Faunus kind risked global extinction."
Before everyone could ask if he had gone crazy, Jaune revealed his title to everyone, "This isn't my Semblance, but a gift from our Ancestor, it shows my status, condition, and grants me powers beyond my comprehension, first off, Magic is real, second off, a very powerful spell was used to send my soul back into my old noodly body, third, this title is only one bit of my proof."
Everyone looked shocked as he revealed his Reincarnated Title, "I watched this world burn, and I lost everything that I ever cared for," Jaune looked to Ruby and pulled out a copy of the comic he was working on.
"This is a chronicle of what happened in the previous timeline...the timeline, we were married in." Jaune dropped the bomb that made Ruby's knees go weak, her face lit up as steam started to rise from he cheeks.
Jaune took one good long look at everyone's face, and when he stopped on Ruby's he smiled, "It's funny, you don't doubt me at all, yet most of my family does, I really love you, Ruby," Jaune said as he looked to Sun.
"Hey, I believe you too!" Nora shouted.
"Then I love you too Nora, just not in a love-love kind of way." Jaune chuckled.
Ruby's heart was beating a thousand miles per second, she was happy, really happy right now, but it was a mixture of confusion as well, she was about to speak up about her dreams when Sun stepped up.
"I can back him up, he's telling the truth," Sun said scratching his head.
"What are you a time traveler too?" Blake asked with surprise.
Sun shook his head and summoned his white clone and a single golden clone, "Normally all my clones are gold, this one is special, this one contains a piece of Jaune's soul." Sun walked over to blake and had one of his clones pluck a hair from its body and pushed it into Blakes Soul."
"Show her," Sun said as his memories of the future surged into Blake's head.
Blake started to cry as she looked around, she grabbed her sides and said, "Make it stop! There are so many, so many people crying out! How, how can this happen?"
Sun bent down and cradled Blake, "It's okay Blake, we can change things this time."
Everyone but Yang and Jaune showed shocked expressions, Sun then plucked a hair from the white Clone and handed it to Ruby, "This one contains Jaune's memories, it will only show you what he is comfortable about showing, some memories, are better left alone, so you won't see the whole picture, just bits, and pieces."
Sun plucked out several more hairs from the white clone, "Meld these into your Aura if you wish to see the truth."
He then sat down next to a crying Blake and held her tightly, everyone gulped as they stared at the floating strand of hair made from Sun's Semblance.
"If you're scared to try, you can read the book and confirm the facts with what Blake knows, I also put future knowledge in those comics, so when these things happen, this will also verify that I'm telling the truth." Jaune then pulled out a lottery ticket that he bought once because Nora egged him on.
"I won the jackpot lottery as well, first time playing, thank you, Nora, for forcing the whole team to try their luck." Jaune threw out the winning ticket to his sisters who started grabbing at it.
Gwen quickly pulled the ticket over via opening a portal, making the group of sisters whine, "Jaune, is all this really true?" Gwen said looking her son dead in the eye.
"I give you my word as an Arc," Jaune said standing straight while placing Crocea Mors over his chest.
His father stood speechless, he held the hair in his hand and didn't hesitate as he activated his Aura Skin and absorbed the hair into his Aura.
He saw his son standing over a burnt down city, the adventures he went on after, the deaths of his family members and the start of a new one. He saw his son heroicly standing at the front lines of the final battle, slaying countless Grimm, and lastly, he saw his son die, tears flooded out from Lance's as he felt the pain in his son's heart.
The doubt he felt towards his own skill, the guilt of letting his family down, failing to live up to his own ideal of the Arc family standards, "Oh, god, what have I done?" Lance cried on the ground.
Like clockwork, everyone took in the memories of that Jaune experienced, no one was spared from the experiences and pain he felt during worst moments.
Jaune clinched his teeth, and winced in pain as he saw everyone break out into tears, his neck cringed as he stared at them and wished there was some other way.
The memories he wished to convey was different for each person, most of the stuff remained private, however, they got the gist of what happened, Ruby, however, turned bright red and almost passed out the first time she saw the moment she wanted more than just making out.
Because of Jaune's desire not to mess up their current relationship, he kept most of the juicy situations out of the transfer, but this one seemed to have slipped through the cracks.
The biggest thing he made sure for all of them to see was the talk he had with Ozma after his death.
The whole story was laid out bare for them to hear; when the conversation ended, so did the memories.
Everybody rushed over to him and surrounded him with a hug, Ruby was the closest crying into his chest.
Jaune didn't know what he was feeling, tension about his actions changed the future, anxiety to how they will react, terrified that things will change between him and Ruby, worried that he can't save everyone from the Grimmpocolyps.
However now that they knew, more than anything, Jaune felt tired, like he could sleep soundly for the first time since he arrived back in his old body.
Jaune closed his eyes and fell down, Ruby bring the closest one to him held on tightly and almost fell herself, Lance grabbed his son and saw that he was sleeping.
Jaune was carried up to his room and put in his old bed, Ruby was with him at the time and saw the superhero and hunter paraphernalia covering most of his room, she also spotted a few rock band posters and an acoustic guitar sitting in the corner.
Ruby laughed as she saw the Pumpkin Pete plushie sitting on top of his desk, she then waited by Jaune's side for a few minutes while holding the small stack of comics in her hands.
For once, Jaune didn't have nightmares that night, he dreamed about Ruby and their life together.
